There are quite a few movies that I haven't seen and people (certain peeps on CC :cautious::p) freak out about it. Movies like Indian Jones or The Matrix. I feel the same way with books. There are some books that I haven't read and people talk about them often.

So what are some movies and/or books that you feel everyone should watch/read? These could be movies/books that people often talk about or ones that you feel are so important and/or beautiful that they shouldn't be ignored.

Here are some that I am thinking of right now...

Films
Star Wars (at least the original trilogy)
Psycho (1960)
Good Will Hunting (1997)

Books
To Kill A Mockingbird
The Bible
The Harry Potter Series

I am excited to see what ya'll suggest. If you don't like some of my suggestions, it's cool. We all are different and I won't be offended.

At least see the Star Wars original trilogy (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi), they're the only ones starring the original cast (Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford)

For guys (and gals who like manly movies lol):

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (Clint Eastwood)
Saving Private Ryan
Magnum Force
(Clint Eastwood)
Die Hard (the original one that takes place at an airport)
Karate Kid (the original one with Ralph Macchio and Elizabeth Shue)
Top Gun
Forrest Gump

..not necessarily in that order.

original die hard was in the building in LA. die hard 2 is the airport one.
I stand corrected. :D I guess I liked the airport one a lot more because I don't remember much about the first one except where he was running through broken glass.

But first watch the original stargate movie for the backstory. Though it's been years since I've seen it, the first episode of the series is basically a sequel to the movie.

I'm not really into all that. Books or movies. There is only one book I can't do w/o. The Bible, and one movie I have only and can only watch one time. But it left a lasting impression. The Passion of Christ. I do have and listen and watch The Gospels of John regularly. I can do w/o Television/ Movies. My passion is listening to or playing music. I can live in the woods (what have you) without books minus my bible and any form of TV. So long as I have some kind of music.

I have watched many movies, and read many books. Just none that I feel are a gotta watch or read thing except the 2 fore mentioned.
