Alright peeps here is a question for you all. What is the worst movie (either recent or older) that you have ever seen and you wanted to shove your head in the toilet afterwards (or something to that effect). The worst movie I ever saw was Water World, it was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worst movie: Meet Joe Black ("drama"). I watched it on a cinema with my cousins, and I was sooo close to just leaving them there. It was terribly boring

Question Two, if you had to put a song to scene of your life (as if your life was a movie), what would the scene be and the song you would put to it. For me a romantic scene (don't laugh), you know I remember a time where I was on a date and we had a picnic in the park, and we looked at each other for a moment, just enjoying the essence of each other. The song I would put to this scene would be "Stolen" By Dashboard Confessional.

Thanks el for the comment :) Alright guys another movie review!!!!! This time Netflix did not let me down with its instant streaming. I added a movie called Daddy's Girl and besides the ending, it was a pretty good flick. Alright here we go.

Daddy's Girl is about a foster child named Jodie who enters a whole new family that love her and she loves them to, to DEATH! Jodie has become very attached to her new foster dad and will not let anyone come between them, not even her foster mother or the social worker. Her ways of "making a better family" are somewhat interesting and very inventive. As you watch this film, you might think that this kid is a "devil child", but perhaps she is just misunderstood and.... oh who am I kidding this girl is coo coo for coa coa puffs (to borrow the line from Osmosis Jones, lol). This is more of a psychological thriller rather than a horror movie, so don't worry you don't need to keep this lights on for this one.

This film is from the mid 90's (1996) and is rated R, however I couldn't really tell why, I mean yes there was some violence, but no blood was shown, but some intense scenes that included violence were present, so perhaps that is why.

I have always liked psychological thrillers and if it wasn't for the kind of cliff hanger ending then I would have given this film a higher rating, but I would watch it again if I had to. Daddy's Girl gets a 3 out of 5.

Hey all, I wanted to let you guys know that I will be starting a new thread (don't worry I will still be runnin this thread as well). My next thread will be on the subject of Religion in Pop Culture. I am taking a course this semester titled that at my university. This will be looking at Christian Symbolism, references, etc... Outside the regular spectrum( i.e. this means not looking at only Christian music, books, movies, etc...). I will welcome stuff that is working the specified spectrum but that might defeat the purpose of the thread. So basically this thread will be about analyzing/examining religion in mainstream pop culture (i.e. Family Guy, Simpsons, Knowing, Paramore, etc...) So I am looking forward to this thread and everyone's input

Jonsi- Animal Arithmetic would be my soundtrack. It's all about living your life and being alive and sounds an apt description of what I want my life to be like.

Another film review for you guys

Disclaimer: This film review contains a movie with subject matter that is not appropriate to viewers under 17 and also illustrates/discusses topics that some might find offensive or disturbing. With this being said, if you still choose to read this review, it has been with your knowledge that you have read the above stated and any offense you take to the content presented should be directed towards the movie/filmmaker, NOT the reviewer (i.e. me).

The Kids Are Alright is a fairly recent film that came out in July of 2010. This film centers around a lesbain couple and takes a look at their problems in their relationship. Jules and Nic have been together for some odd years and things are getting a bit shaky. Nic is so consumed with her job that she hardly has time to spend with Jules (thus leaving her feel neglected). Jules aspires to have her own gardening business, but Nic belittles her by hinting that it is a foolish dream. On the other side of the spectrum, their kids (Joni and Laser) have plans of their own, that is in meeting their biological father who donated sperm to the Jules and Nic (lesbian couple) in order for them to have kids. Secret/accidental romances between Jules and the biological father (Paul) spark, which causes problems at home with Nic and thus turns into a family drama (but not necessairly this is a movie that the whole family can watch).

Here is where some of you might stop reading. This film is rated R, yes that is right, R. And for very good reason. Multiple uses of F**K, Sh*t, D@mn, and other mild words are used. There is a scene in the beginning where Nic is watching a gay porno and Jules starts giving her (what we assume) oral pleasure (nothing is scene, but the motion under the covers implies it). Paul and Jules are seen having sex a couple times throughout the film (though no nudity is shown). There is another sex scene (that literally last five seconds) between Paul and a co-worker.

Alright, hope no one had a heart attack, are we all still alive? Good! Now this film is focused on a lesbian couple, and if that turns you off, fine then don't watch it, but don't condemn it by saying it has no artistic or cinematic value. This being a drama, it was well written and it was an indie film (which I am a fan of indie cinema). For this movie, my rating is a 3.5 out of 5

I know I said I would have this up earlier but hey at least it is within the same day. Here we go another movie review to get you clued in on another great flick.

Rodrigo Cortes brings us the film Buried. A thriller about a truck driver in Afghanistan who wakes up and finds himself in a wood coffin, wait it gets better, he is buried underground! This is a film for if you are not used to a movie only taking place in one setting then you won't like very much (or maybe you will). All this takes place inside a wood coffin and I must say the cinematography and camera movements within a small space are AMAZING! The truck drivers name is Paul and he is American, but has been sent to the middle east in order to deliver supplies to help them rebuild. Paul's only survival tools are a lighter and a cell phone. What was amazing about this, is that this film only uses one actor (that we see) the others are on the phone and we only hear their voices. Some scenes get really intense and suspenseful. This will definitely keep you on edge until the end (which the ending, well uh... you can judge that for yourself).

This film is rated R for language (basically sever F-bombs) and some violence (mostly blood-shed).

I would give this film a perfect score if it was not for the ending, but this will definitely be getting what it deserves. A 4.5 out of 5

P.S.- for you ladies (if you are into him that is), this film stars Ryan Reynolds, lol. Just thought I would throw that in there

Alright guys it has been about a week since I posted my last review. Sorry I have been posting recently, but the course load for last year of college has been piling up lol. But I now have sometime to post a review. The next film is an indie flick:

Welcome to the Rileys is a film about Doug and Lois, a couple who have recently lost their 15 yr old daughter in a car wreck. Doug is determined to get out of the slump by taking a trip to New Orleans. However, Lois still dwells on the past event of her daughters death and doesn't want to venture into the outside world. While on vacation, Doug meet Mallory (played by Kristen Stewart), who is a "dancer" at a club. Their encounter starts off rocky, but they soon become friends. Doug agrees to help Mallory out financially if he can stay with her and take care of her like a father does. Mallory seems to get into more and more trouble and Doug has to find ways to bail her out of trouble. This movie while a bit raunchy does have its redemptive qualities in its morals.

This film is rated R ( I know, I know, I will have something with a more decent rating in the next review, so that it is safe for the kiddos). The reason being is for the sexual content (though no nudity is shown), strong language (several f-bombs) and some brief drug use.

This film had one of my favorite actresses and had a great story, so for the first time ever, this movie receives my perfect rating of 5 out of 5!
