It makes me sad to read what Ezekiel said and how God left his Temple.

Then did the cherubim lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above. And the glory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

That is so interesting because it wasn't like "poof" and God was gone, He went "east" and that can only be the Mt. of Olives.

It was the last message God gave while He was on earth to Ezekiel. Consider God came to earth in person, in Ezekiel chapter 1

The last message had to do with believers, remaining in their abominations .
Id consider all the false teachings going on today in the name of Christ, they spread false doctrines right from the churches .Claiming to be men or women of God .

And that is going to come to a head when believers realize their false teachings wont save them from the Antichrist God will send.

Ezekiel 11:21 pretty much says that the Lord will reward people that follow false teachings by having it fall on their own heads.

But Christ will descend to the Mount of Olives at His second coming, and it will be split into two. After that all Jews from all over the world will be gathered to Israel and will look upon Him whom they pierced, and mourn and weep and repent and be converted. Then the Lord will redeem and restore Israel after the battle of Armageddon.

I find it interesting that in Nu.19:3 that the Red Heifer was supposed to be taken "without" the camp. I provided a link to Mr. Martin's rendition of where the Temple really stood in the first century. The bridge in the lower part of the picture goes across the Kidron valley and that is how they took the Red Heifer to be sacrificed. It was obviously on the Mr. of Olives or "without" the camp. The same thing is said of Jesus at His crucifixion in Hebrews.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered "without" the gate. Let us go forth therefore unto him "without the camp", bearing his reproach. Hebrews 13:12,13

Hello Otherway 210

Firstly I wouldn't consider Ezekiel Chapter one to be an actual appearance of God on earth. It was a vision of God that Ezekiel saw very similar to the one John received in Revelation. In fact if you compare the two books you will find that a number of key passages in Ezekiel are developed in Revelation including this one.

Paul teaches that Christ brings with him those who have fallen asleep, (Died in Christ) who will receive immortal bodies. Those who are alive at that time will also be transformed and will meet him in the air. This is what is called the Rapture What is debatable is when this happens. Is it before during or at the end of the tribulation. The word Rapture is the term used for this. Unfortunately its become shorthand for a whole raft of teachings connected with the last days. Those who hold to the Pre Tribulation Rapture position are not evil people deserving Gods wrath but purely deceived.

The first mention of the olive in the Bible is the olive leaf that the dove returned to Noah, signifying peace and restoration from the devastating flood.

The 1st of 3 pressings:
Olive oil was used as the holy anointing oil to consecrate the priests, and instruments of the Temple sanctuary. God said that this sacred olive oil "shall be an holy anointing oil unto Me throughout your generations. Exodus 30:31

The 2nd of 3 pressing:
The Bible liken's us to sheep, the Lord is our Shepherd. Sheep often get into trouble, and the shepherd lovingly anoints their heads with oil. "Is there any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the Church: and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord," James 5:14.

Biblical anointing was not done with one or two drops. Samuel anointed Saul with a rams horn full of oil.

Anointing oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. The disciples were bold and "anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them," Mark 6:13.

Olive oil, is symbolic of Gods Holy Spirit, His healing power, gladness, joy and of brotherly love in the Church.

The 3rd pressing, the dirtiest yeild:
Was used for lighting lamps and burning.

Gentiles are compared and referred to as "wild olive tree," Romans 11:17. And are grafted into the natural olive tree, Israel.

During the Temple age. Older Large olive trees with deep, deep rooting systems. Would begin to dry out. Limbs from smaller wild olive trees would be cut off and grafted into the Large trees. To restore, stimulate and rejuvante the older trees sap system.

James 3:11-13. Let us be good olive plants, majestic olive trees, deep-rooted, long-lasting, producing good fruit for our Master.

Thoughout scripture oil is often linked to healing & joy. It was used to anoint kings & prophets. The highest link to oil signifies the Holy Spirit & outpouring/anointing of the Holy Spirit. Exodus 25:6, Exodus 30:23-33, Leviticus 8:30; Numbers 4:16, Lev 2:1-2, Mk 6:13 & 14:3-9, Lk 4:18, Acts 2:4 & 10:38, Heb 1-8-9

Pressing is how we get the oil from the olive. The Hebrew word for olive oil is shemen. The Hebrew word for press is gat. An oil press is the word gatshemen. Gethsemane is at the base of the Mt of Olives where Jesus was arrested.
Greek word Christos mean's anointed one Jesus Christ is: "The Anointed One".

After Jesus shared the Last Supper with His disciples Lk 14:12-25. They went up onto the Mt of Olives Lk 14:26.
1st Pressing:
Luke 22:44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

2nd Pressing:
Jesus is arrested shortly after this prayer. He is taken to the Priests, put on trial and condemned. In the morning they take Him to Pontius Pilate. Jesus is beaten, mocked, scourged and forced to carry His Cross through the streets.

3rd Pressing:
Jesus is nailed to the cross and suffers in agony for 6 hours. Then Proclaims: It is Finished! and dies.

It is the crushing/pressing in the death of Messiah/Christ, Isaiah 53:5. That leads to our healing, joy & the ultimate outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Act 2:4.

We can now through faith in the Finished Redemptive Work of Christ. Surrender every sin & all covetous onto Him, to be crushed. And be filled with the healing oil of His Holy Spirit.

From Mt of Olives Jesus ascends into heaven:

Luke 24:50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven
(NOTE: Bethany is 1 & 1/2 miles east of Jerusalem on the south eastern slope of the Mount of Olives)

Jesus return begins on the Mt of Olives:

Zechariah 14:
1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
(NOTE: Vs 1, When Jesus comes, feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives Vs 4)

Unbelievers Are Condemned
John 3:18 But he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Believers Have Eternal Life
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son "hath" everlasting life & he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Don't be sad. Ezekiel is an exciting book, read it all. It ends well

EZ 48:35 “And the name of the city from that time on will be:
the Lord is there.”
