have not seen too many movies with a spiritual conscience, besides The Prince Of Egypt, and, I mentiin that in my music movies thread so won't list all it here, in fact, none it
.
Oh , and, sure, I've seen a ton of movies but not spiritual conscience ones of late, i not seen fireproof, 7 days in utopía , max whatever movie out couple years ago, courageous, and, i do hope to, the Lord leads, i hope, pray i follow on that. I did see Left Behind a while back , about the rapture, and, then , when i was 12, I saw movie inside my church for evening service, Thief In The Night.
Now THAT movie messed with my conscience, it was ver scary to a pre-teen. Funny thing is, my parents had initiated me with a host of horror flicks before that as I grew up in the heyday of vhs and beta video tapes formats. But that Thief movie, it was every bit as frightening as Jaws I saw around the same time, well, 3/4 of Jaws, I was 10 and launched myself into the back of our f350 cab and the drive-in music was so loud STILL , with my hands over my ears, as that shark must have been having a heydayduh-DUH, du-DUH....
ANYWHOWHATWAYHOW, that just made my brains all yell inside , that Thief movie, I am almost positive I scrunched down in the pew as the rapture came and people , the good people believers, were gone and the unbelievers still there, getting #s put on their foreheads. Aye, aye, AYE ! Fuh-RIGHTENING !
I saw black swan the other night, that movie was mezmerizing. Poor niña, entrapt by her crazy controlling mamá and abused sexually by that director. She had no hope. Yes, she had not God, whom she truly needed to get her through that abusive and controlling mess . God gifted this 'swan' with a great ability to dance, the white side of the bird, however, she could not do the dark side of that most beautiful of God creatures.
So....she psychologIcally lost it and her social graces and ladylike side was overtaken by her dark side of, sure, Yeah, say it, say it, the Devil.
So this movie deals with the estranged side of 'social,' or maybe a better way to put it is 'socio.'
But this ballerina only became out of control of her mind AFTER the idiot guy director playfully sexually abused her with no more intenta by he than to get niña out of her the black side of the swan.
Ladies, I implore you, there will be times in your life you WANT something so much in life, and, thru NO fault of your own, your person will be attacked.
You see, Niña, this ballerina at the beginning of the movie was trying out for the lead in 'Swan Lake' ballet and she didn't get the part. So what did she do?
Niña went to the director's office to politely ask if she could get one more chance .
The director told her, 'no,' before he proceeded to grab Niña and put his mouth to hers and torcer her into.a long kiss. What did she do?
Niña bit him on the inside of his mouth.
He screamed 'ow!,' and niña left , sayng 'sorry,' and she left knowing she did not want the lead role that bad.
However, the director kissed her forcefully not to abuse her but to see what she had in her, and, 'the bite' showed the director niña's black swan side. Niña got the part !
Ok, so, what am I saying, ladies, by all this?
Let the Lord lead, and, I can guarantee you He will NOT test you to abusively hurt you EVER.
God will use means to test our faith, like Abraham going up mountain with son, Isaac, to kill him at the top, but God will NEVER do things to hurt you to advance you toward his perfect completion (phil. 1:6) in life.
