Hi! Here's my cellphone questions:
(1) Does it cost to get on the internet with a cellphone, if one is within range of wi-fi, such as wi-fi through router in a home?
(2) When out of range of wi-fi, do any texting programs, such as Whatsapp, or others - cost more to use than others? Or more than ordinary cellphone texting?
(3) Does using Google voice to text assistant cost more to use than just doing texting by punching keys? And does it cost differently if one uses Google voice to text, out of range of wi-fi, compared to doing just ordinary texting on a cellphone?
Thanks!

1. Depends a lot on how much your wifi costs, or if you're using someone else's wifi.

2. Depends how much data each program uses. Simple texting uses data, but it's not counted against your data per month limit. Whatsapp, snapchat and etc. data IS counted against your data per month limit.

3. Google voice sends a copy of your audio to google. Where iphone crunches the data in-phone, Android could be running on any kind of phone so it's a lot easier to guarantee customer experience if they use Google servers to decipher what you said. So yes, it uses more data.

HOWEVER...

None of it should matter unless you have, like 300 megabytes per month. If you have a decent data plan, the difference between using google voice and not using google voice, or using whatsapp, shouldn't matter all that much. If it varies by more than a gigabyte... You're just sending way too many text messages. :p

Hi, Lynx!
Oh, thanks so much for all this abundant information on what I was wanting to know more about! God bless you! "Proverbs 15:23. 23 A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth; And a word in due season, how good is it! "
