My Co-Worker drives me crazy!!!

I have a co worker that... um...pushes my buttons, I guess is the nicest way to say it. She has made a racist comment to me, she makes remarks about the way others dress and sub cultural differences, she is just very judgemental and somehow she can make any situation seem miserable. What makes it so horrible is that we are teachers in a school that serves mostly immigrants, who are very poor.

I do not know what to do as I dread being in the same room with her. I appreciate your opinions, advice and prayer.
 
Jesus says pray for your enemies... sounds like you have an enemy... she better watch out!!!!
 
I have the same problem!! I dread the days I have to work with her, which is most of the time, because she makes constant remarks about my work! Not only that she talks about everyone! Such a negative person! I agree with ScottyBrandon on this one, though it is not the easiest thing to do. In my case I see it as a form of persecution for Christ because as far as I can tell I am the only Christian at my workplace, and I am the only one that this girl really doesn't like, even though she does talk about others. She is not rude to their faces like she is to me. Also, while others respect that I don't like swearing, she doesn't! :/ It is frustrating, but we must be strong examples in the Lord! Whenever I do work with her, I just put on a smile and grit my teeth sometimes! :) The way I see it is she will become more frustrated by my being nice to her, when we both know she is trying to put me down. No one can ignore the love of God! Stay encouraged, and just think at the end of this trial you will have become a stronger Christian! Maybe this woman is hurting and needs someone to reach out to her. Although if her comments become too bad then I would agree with wolfywolfs. Especially if her comments are affecting the children!
 
Pour love and grace on her... it will feel like burning coals to her

You need to tell your boss for sure, though!
 
I certainly agree with all the responses especially Sarah's. Continue to hang in there and show her the love of Christ even when its the toughest. You will be setting a great example for the rest of your co-workers also. And if its really as bad as you say then telling your boss will also be helpful. Above all continue to take the situation to God in prayer, not just for your tolerance of her but also for that co-worker also.
