I want to share this with you:
At my job we are all given departments to work. Each of us work as a team to accomplish a representation of the image of my job. If we are to maintain this image, we have to all work together, but of course there are obstacles to things as not everyone is on one accord and people have their own ideas of how the image should be represented.
One night we stayed late. And we were told we would leave soon, but it seemed to take forever. The manager would call the sub-manger and tell her what to tell us. I was really annoyed by that. I thought ''Why doesn't the manager do anything, and why does she tell someone else to tell us something, as if to put the blame off of herself.'' But the sub-manager is so awesome. She didn't do it in a manner that would further frustrate us. She encouraged us and thanked us for our hard work.
Of course I was convicted later, as I was thinking in the flesh, and not seeing what the Lord was trying to teach me. Yet, I was really, upset about it for some reason. It was a simple and small situation but I was really upset.
And we were cleaning out departments at the end of the night and I went over my department a whole bunch of times, the whole time getting frustrated as to why I am still here. Why am I still here when I am finished with my department?
But I was corrected and remembered how that according to perfection, my department is not really as clean as I think. So I kept on cleaning, even little things (I have a problem with detail when it seems to be futile.) But nevertheless, if it wasn't perfect, I was not finish with my department. UGGGH!!! lol. In that case I would never be finished!!!! Eventually I was asked if my department was finished/complete, and I always hesitate with answering this because ''according to perfection my department is not finished.'' But I said, yes.Is this a lie?
And I was told to go help my other co-workers. When I got over there. I still had my detail eyes. AND BOY WAS IT A MESS!!! And I thought, ''Well I should have come over here earlier, because the needed more help than I did.'' But, if I had gone over there as early as I thought I should my department would not be as clean as it was. Yet again I am comparing myself with other people, and not against perfection. So my area must look messy too, and theirs a much more messy.
But then I was rebuked again (a whole night of rebuke for me). I looked at their area and realized THEY HAD WAY MORE STUFF TO DO THAN I DID!!!! They had an area where the whole are needed detail work, and they had the same amount of time I had but my work didn't require that much detail. And for the time it was good. And at the end of the work shift we all left on time, not one person left before the other. BUT WERE WE FINISHED? We told the sub-manager we were, but according to perfection, were we finished? And was this a lie?
Rebuke after rebuke, but I am thankful. I still have a problem with it but hopefully you all can see what I am saying so far. I think this demonstration is something I must learn about.
May Jesus bless you.
