Gliding on the cloud of my dreams
Dancing in the high of my emotions
Tapping to the music of my self-worth
I dived in

A seasoned hope, a firm belief
It will keep me; yes, it will keep me
No hurt, no pain
Oh how I danced to the music of my belief

You fall short, you are not good enough
You need to put on; you need to be put away
My dream became my enemy

Am I good? Am I good enough?
Are you listening to me? Do you even see me?
Nail paint and high heels
Now my dream will see

No, not good enough
See they are better
I don't see you; I don't want you
My dream was dreaming another dream

Slow steps and a heavy heart
I dreamed no more
I wanted no more

I don't see me. I don't listen to me
I became secondary; I lost me
Who stares at me? That's not me
I need to stop. I need to begin

Small steps; firm steps
The Odyssey begins
Lord, help me. I need to win

I dream again. I smile again
And the dream in my past I no longer desire
I am new. I am alive
