do you take what Jesus did for you as an obligation to honor Him? that's my position. He did enough to EARN my alleigence. never will feel differently. I think when we don't take it as it is, the most Loving and good act ever done for anyone else, and then look at what He actually says to do to honor This cost to Him......we missed something important somewhere. He died so that we can Live for Him, according to the only words we have written from Him. those words are Life, its easy to avoid and twist and go inm circles. the truth is Jesus, what does He say? He says, "go to work and don't look back" for even the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve. His teachings are as important as His death to a Christian, they cant be divided, one is the death of sin, the other, the breath of righteousness. His death and resurrection is new birth, His teachings are Life and growth, they are rightewousness. anything that doesn't point to Jesus Word is not the truth.
As do all present. Only some would have us believe the motivation is fear, which can be deduced by putting forth a doctrine of punishment instead of reward (as scriptures emphasizes).

ben, what does Jesus say? that's my point to you. He does onfact Give warnings against disobedience, I'm sorry you are saying I'm doing it, its Jesus words bro. its there for a reason. to fear God is wise. To Love God is to obey. I appreciate Jesus with my life, not to commend myself, but to answer what you are saying. if you really appreciate Jesus and His suffering and Gift of new Life why are you so against His words? what does He say? if you do these things you have a foundation, your house will stand. if you refuse to do these things, you have no foundation.
you feel condemned by me, I Love you friend, I wouldn't waste my time if I didn't care about your soul. All I am saying to you, you who obviously feels so much Love for Jesus, I'm just emploring you, accept what He is saying above what you think. I had to do the same thing, If I am saying " go obey Jesus words, cont listen to my words, forget me and just you yourself go to Jesus words. Pray ben, ask God the Father to reveal truth to you. I recognize something in you, honestly you have good knowledge of the atonement and part of grace, I'm saying take what you have and Jesus will add more to you as you go take his words above all else.
I'm not condemning you friend at all, I want you to see the truth in what I am saying to you. I'm saying consider in prayer between Just you and the Lord. Lord, is it your will to set all of my heart to obey your sons commands?" the Lord will answer you ben, if you are willing to just do this I will pray also and the Lord will not fail to answer your spirit. Godly action is motivated by both.
The Father disciplines us to teach us to do right.
He also teaches us to love through his love for us.

Yet... there is still animosity in the response given by Jason. I don't believe grace was calling him a "false prophet" or even addressing him (as you showed with the quote).

I have no idea why he projected that onto himself though. That is himself doing that. I am not mentioning him at all in the post but responding to what another posted about false prophets. Thanks for book-marking it as it shows exactly what I said and to whom.

Yes, we ought to forgive as God forgave us for Christ's sake. VVe are forgiven and therefore forgive others.
I hear ya'...things are getting out of perspective and going down a road that is not going to be edifying to any one.
I'm bowing out of the thread and letting things lie where they are and trusting the Holy Spirit in each of us to guide us in all things..
