This is a weird thing to ask prayer for, but my mommy needs at least one Christian friend. Preferably some ladies that are close to her age.

One thing I’ve often noticed is that for some reason my mother has not had friends since high school. Not long after she got a job and then married, and so once my sister and I were born we became her whole focus. But sadly now that daddy is gone and Jenn is out of state, I feel she’s really feeling that loneliness. Or if she’s like me, she doesn’t consciously feel it but her subconscious suffers.

We do have church family, but for some reason my family has always kinda held them at arms length. Not sure why... But she never gets counsel or comfort from other ladies at church, never goes to a dinner or activity unless she’s going to help me. They have 55 and older which she is possible to be in, and a widows group as well which may help her but... It’s almost like...she doesn’t feel she deserves to go because she wants to??? I don’t get it... Like if it’s for her own benefit she’s somehow being selfish?

For the “too long didn’t read,” please pray my mother can get some female Christian friends so she can kinda find her own identity again.

She may not want to socialise with a certain group, ie: she may not want to be comprtmentalised or labelled in any way. I hate being labelled - if you're over 50, you get labelled and people then have certain misconcpetions about you.
Or she may be a bit of a loner, is grieving for you Dad and/or sister, and just wants to be left alone. Grief can be a life long thing. She might be happy on her own, doing her own thing, or is trying to find herself.
If she's not socialising how you think she should with people at the church, there's a reason why. Have you asked her if she wants to go out? Maybe she doesn't want strangers or people contacting her.
It's like trying to set people up on blind dates - your intentions are good, but it might all go horribly wrong.
Maybe she doesn't want to see anyone at all and has her own reality, in her own little, safe world.
I'd ask her first before posting things like that on here, just to be on the safe side.

I totally understand what you mean, but I can assure you that she suffers the same thing as me.

She loves to talk to the ladies at church, but she just doesn’t think to ask them to do anything. She loves hanging out with them, and she’s often told me she is sad that she doesn’t talk to everyone at church more. I know she doesn’t really hang with people at work, I get that. But it’s like...she just doesn’t think about having friends outside of whatever activity she usually meets them in. Not that she doesn’t want to she just...doesn’t think of it.

Lord, I pray you send her some one to love, who will love her in return. I also pray this for all the lonely people in this world. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
