According to Hebrews 12:26-27, there will shortly come a time (the day of the Lord), in which all things made by man shall be shaken out, so that those things that cannot be shaken (the truly faithful in the Lord) may remain.The Bible is pretty clear on long robes:
Matthew: 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
Luke: 20:46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
My local pastors, even in an Evangelical Church, wear them still. Should i confront them about this with scripture?
I dont wanna be too judgemental because ive only been going to Church little more than a month and because i myself still struggle with certain sins. However, Jesus himself preached against long robes on religious leaders so im taking it pretty serious.
What should i, in your opinion, do?
The Lord will shortly shake out whatever is phony, so I wouldn't worry about it.
More, worry about your own standing with the Lord, and continue your own study of the Word, as you seem apt in doing.
