Well I feel like I should share my testimony as I have been on ChristianChat for a couple of months now.
Well first off my government name is Carl Joseph Gatewood. I was born on January 28, 1989. My birth mother is named Flora Gatewood.
I was born with clubbed feet and cerebral palsy which affects numerous of things. I have had 3 surgeries on my left foot and 0 surgeries on my right foot. My first was before I turned 1. My second was before I turned 2 and my third surgery was during my second grade year. Every week when I was a baby, I had to have a set of casts on each foot. Every Monday I would get them put on and every sunday night my adopted father Hollis would remove them in a sink. This went on until I was about 2 years of age. I learned how to walk, run and ride a big wheel and tricycle in casts. Well for 5 years I played little league baseball in a foot brace on my left foot called an AFO.
Skipping to middle school, I found out that my doctor screwed my feet up by not paying enough attention to my right foot. So, I now was in seventh grade wearing an afo on each foot. Yeah I know really bad tough break. Well, I never once stopped believing in the supernatural powers of God and it really really paid off for me. God began to show his power and my braces that were above my calves were cut done to ankle braces and arch supporters in eighth grade. Also, in 8th grade, I was part of the school's football team. However I did not get to play for them. The coaches were too afraid. After football season I started martial arts with my family. And it too paid off for me.
High school was a blast when it came to God's supernatural powers. I was a manager for perhaps the richest high school football program in the country's history. And I continued tae kwon do. Well, heres the exciting part. My life changed in December 2003. I was at church during Christmas break one sunday night and the worship leader was being filled with the Holy Spirit so much that he prophesied that "right now somebody's feet are being healed." At that very moment I knew God healed my feet. It has been almost 5 years since I quit wearing supporters or braces in my shoes. God even took it as far as this. Spring of 2004, I had to break a board with my barefoot for tae kwon do testing. And I did.
Oh I forgot to mention that the doctors said that after the young age of 12 years I would be confined to a wheel chair for the rest of my life. Well I am here to tell you that I just turned 20 and I have NEVER been in a wheel chair.
