My name is Katie Reed, and I am a Christian. I was saved when I was 6 or 7 years old, and I really don’t have a special, touching, or convicting story. I am growing up in a Christian home and I am home-schooled. I had never done anything very bad when I was younger, but I knew I was a sinner and that I needed a savior. On a Sunday after church I asked my mom what it meant to be saved. A few days later I accepted Christ while I was walking outside. God doesn’t care who you are or how much you have sinned; in my case I hadn’t done much in my seven years. But the truth is I was as much a sinner as someone who had lived their whole life in sin, A murderer, a thief, a drunk, a drug addict, or someone who had refused God for their whole life and had never stepped foot in a church building. I am very glad I got saved and I live to prove it. I know that if I didn’t have a strong relationship with God, my whole life would be completely different.

Amen Katie Reed! I really love what you have said here! =D Thanks for sharing and may God always bless you =]

glory be to God man.

just try to live your life for him or worship him spiritually like I do.
I read my bible all the time and pray all the time.

it's good you are saved, but I wonder how you can coup in resisting things of this world:P

that is a very strong piece you know!

It struck me that you said you were just as much a sinner as a murderer is.
it is right that all sin is equal and all people need salvation..

you sound like a very wise young woman, I hope God will bless you :)

kitty, i was in my 20's when i got saved an i never really done any thing bad either and that was of the things the devil would tell me so wouldn't be saved, but you are right the lord showed me that same thing. i wasn't an adulterous, fornication,a drunkard, or any of those things, but he showed me that the sin was in the heart and it needed to be redeemed. Good testimony. keep fighting the good fight of faith!
