All too often Christians can be so very judgemental. Especially to those who are not Christians. We somehow think that we are better than everyone else and forget to show love, mercy, compassion. We forget what horrible mess God saved us out of and look upon others who don't have it all together as people who are worthless and not important. This is certainly hypocrisy. We as Christians should try to lend an ear to the unsaved and even to the saved who are going through trials in life. Sometimes if we even don't have the right answer it's just a help to listen people, to hear what they have to say. Most of the time they have no one to care for them and instead of giving of ourselves to them we are all too busy with our selfish lives. What Christians tend to forget is that Jesus loves the outcasts, the drug addicts, the abused, etc. He gave His life for them! I tell you the truth that when I was in the world I had some better conversations with a person sitting next to me at the bar then I have had with some of these self righteous religious people. At least they were real and honest about their lives. It seems like a lot of Christians anymore seem to want be right about everything and argue more than show the love of God. We all have issues and life, myself included. And honesty and being genuine about ourselves is the best approach.
Lord make me a vessel of love for the lost! Make me pure so they can see you in me and and have hope. Take away any and all hypocrisy and lies from my heart. Change my heart, and let it always be speaking the truth. Forgive me for being self centered, and remember the good I have shown to others, that I may walk in that love continually. Let me always walk in your love and in your truth Lord Jesus, Amen.
