Hi everyone:
This is my first post on here. Thanks for providing a forum on Christian families and parenting. It's much needed!
I am the director of a media ministry in Montana. We are producing Christian educational programming for kids and would like to get some feedback from Christian parents on our first pilot show. We would like to get this on Christian cable and satellite networks, but before we send it out to them for review, we'd like to run it through a focus group of parents and kids to see what we may need to adjust going forward.
Would you all be willing to watch a 28 minute video of our first show that talks about humility? We try to incorporate nature, science and the Bible into one complete package. The Bible lesson in this pilot show is based on Jesus washing his disciples' feet and how that teaches us to be humble.
We feel this show is different from most Christian kids' programming in that it doesn't have puppets, clowns, and cartoons. We try to appeal to the kids' developing intellect and reason, while still being entertaining.
With that said, the show is divided into 3 sections here:
Part 1 Humility 1 of 3 on Vimeo
Part 2 Humility 2 of 3 on Vimeo
Part 3 Humility 3 of 3 on Vimeo
If you're on a slower internet connection, you may need to press play and then pause until the player can buffer the video.
If you could, would you watch it with your kids (any kids for that matter), and report back some of the of the following:
1. What parts were fun, interesting? What did you and/or the kids like?
2. What parts were boring, slow, etc?
3. Was the driving lesson clear?
4. Is there anything you didn't like? Anything you would change?
Any comments you can make are GREATLY appreciated since we will be steering the concept of the show's entire direction from your reviews of this first pilot. Be as critical as you possibly can. I have thick skin! And, frankly, the harsher and more the direct the comments, the better it is for us to be able to make a better show!
Thanks a lot!
