need ideas to get a 7yr old into Bible study

Im trying to get my 7 yr old to read the Bible. She already finished the kids beginners Bible so she asked if I could get her a regular one. Well now she doesnt even what to read it and I try to make it fun so she wants to get involved with my bible study but shes not having it. What are some ideas that some of you use to get your kids to learn and get involved? Please help, I dont want to push too much because that might push her away from God's Word.
 
you apparently have studious child. I would highly recommend the precept inductive bible studies for children. They are very good, sound teaching and my daughter used to enjoy them very much. They come in paperback and the book is the study and the workbook together... then she would also use her bible to look things up and sometimes the dictionary. THey truly build good study practice and bible knowledge at the same time.
 
I read a few passages out of the bible and I explain the scriptures to my girls. I also use everyday life examples to help them identify with what I am reading. I started off with a few scripture and now they can sit through a whole chapter, but I still stop every few sentences to explain. My older daughter who is almost 11 still has to be told to read the word on her own, but she does it. I don't force it on her. I believe she enjoys it more when we read together. I would also start off with devotionals instead of a full blown study. All kids need is a little bit of scripture at a time. That's all it takes to plant a seed in their hearts and to get them on fire for Christ. The important thing is that you are constant about it. I normally do about 10 to 15 minutes in the morning before they go to school. You do what works for you. Make sure you pray before you start each reading. Also explain why it's important to read the word. Some kids have no idea why. They don't understand that the word is a weapon. :)
 
Can you get a Childrens Bible, or the Goodnews Bible. or maybe use the bible she has, but have a little bible study and compare your bible with hers? that way you showing the regular bible, but she is reading from her own bible for understanding, and as she grows, and by the time she is 10 or when ever you feel right for her to have a regular bible she will be familiar to it.
 
Or you can play a game. were you have scripture cards, and you have to read from each other's bible, she will find the scripture from your bible, and you find in hers? that's way she is getting to see a regular bible and learning from it too.
 
Just dropping in to say how wonderful it is to read of how you all he desire to teach your children and guide them in the ways of the Lord. You are a blessing, to read this is so encouraging, as long as there are parents out there willing to stand for the Word, we can all be optimistic for the next generation!!
