Keep a pad of paper on your nightstand to jot down anything pressing on your mind, so that you can sleep at night and not stress during the day. Cause if it's off your mind and on paper, it's not completely gone, which could be irresponsible, but it's not dominating your whole day.

Set a timer for things that have a time limit, so that you can relax in the meantime. Accept things that you cannot change, and forgive those who need to be forgiven. You do not have to attend every argument you are invited to, or accept the stress others create for you. The Bible says we don't have to fly in their storms, but as an eagle flies, we can fly above the storm. Be as gentle as doves, but as wise as serpants. That will take some stress off.

Also make yourself a joy book. Whether it is just written words, or pictures, or a book-flattened rose, record happy moments you've experienced, and take a look at it to refresh that happy thought or feeling. Include a list of songs or movies that had you laughing or crying happy tears. Maybe a husband or boyfriend's shirt that smells like his cologne.

Whatever is good or praiseworthy in any way- think on such things.

Consider king David who encouraged himself in the Lord. Put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Offer up the sacrifices of praise. Begin to worship and praise God. The old testament speaks again and again on the heave offering of your hand. That is when you are so heavy that you have to heave your hands up in the air and praise the Lord.

I believe that you are not baptized in the Holy Spirit so you cannot build yourself up, charge your spiritual batteries, by prayer in the spirit. Refer to Jude vs. 20.

Jude 1:20 (NKJV) But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

You cannot worship and praise God and still have a spirit of heaviness. Those heavy things flee away. Seek the Lord Jesus for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. But you will receive power after that the Holy Spirit has filled you according to acts chapter 19, acts 1:8, acts 2:4.

Isaiah 51:11 (NKJV) So the ransomed of the Lord shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness; Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

We sang this scripture as a song where we used to attend worship services along with many other scripture songs. Be of good cheer God is with us. Emmanuel.

There's very little as joyous as the life Christ gives us. I want to be involved in it more fully... not escape it.

I like the idea of music, but I'd go for something a bit more upbeat!

I'm a more reserved Charismatic, but I've come a long way since my days in a liturgical church setting!

You might try a bit of dancing before the Lord...and concentrating on the words of more upbeat songs...
