I live in a conservative/republican county, and I went to the library today to see if I could borrow a copy of "wealth of nations" while my new copy is on order; and the library does not even own a copy. Of course if it was "The communist manifesto" that I wanted- they have a copy of that!

Trump's legal problems didn't hurt his political prospects one bit; do you think the Democrats will have a sudden change of heart because the Trump administration has accused them of a crime?
Trump himself has continued the custom of half-masting the flag for school shootings; a custom many of us have found irritating. People are murdered every day, and abortions happen legally every day. What is so special about the venue of the murder that merits calling for the entire nation to mourn? The Democrats may not win a new gun control measure; but these school shootings always keep their fire burning. These need to be prevented or at least mitigated to the greatest extent possible.
Before Trump, the Republican party was toast. They still are toast, really; they're just buttered toast; or maybe garlic toast. But it won't take long for them to become stale toast if they get complacent.
