A retired New York financier living in Fairfield and his former assistant facing federal sex trafficking charges would often target vulnerable victims, including women suffering from addiction, in dire financial straights or who had sick children, according to federal documents.
The two are accused of arranging for the women to go to either luxury hotels in Manhattan or a room called "The Dungeon" in a rented penthouse apartment where the retired Wall Street financier would brutally assault them while performing bondage and sadomasochistic acts, at times while the victims were unconscious, a federal document said.
Authorities arrested 70-year-old Howard Rubin in Fairfield on Friday morning and he was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn without bond after his appearance in federal court in Brooklyn.

Trump is flying back on 'Marine One' to the White House to make an announcement within the hour...

I'm sure Hegseth is really impressed with himself; but in the Navy there were a lot of morons and slackers with military baring. Ships don't run on shiny boots and a clean shave. IDK what the media are referring to when they say he is reinstituting things that were considered hazing; and at this point I'm not sure I care.... actual hazing is retarded, and anybody that gets off on abusing junior servicemembers should just be tied to anchorchain and left there permanently.

Uniform PT standards across genders is... "better". Realistically, the problem with women in the military isn't that they can't do push-ups... nobody really cares (okay, smart people don't care) how many push-ups you can do... it's the unit-cohesion issues caused by fraternization, and mass-adultery that are the real problem. Besides that, one time it came down from the Captain that women couldn't stand watch at night for fear they'd be abducted.... if you're going to be a woman in the military, you either need to be butt-ugly or the most vicious amazon murder-maiden; because no man wants to stand extra watches because the Captain is afraid you're going to get raped.

I just heard the interpretation of the 'right of passage' indoctrination by Newsmax's Carl Higbee who is a Navy Seal... Ya, I don't necessarily agree this approach - as too often the 'hazing' gets out of control... But the reality is that this notion of a 'right of passage' has largely been used and accepted to some extent; while at the same time - leaders that recognize the risks very often strive to reel it in to mitigate risk of harm (mental and physical)...

The Uniform Physical Fitness Tests are largely applicable for what he described as the 'Combat Arms'... other than the Navy Seals - I am not aware of any other Navy types that would apply to the categorization as combat arms within the Marines and Army have largely been intended to apply to Ground Combat Organizations... Where the expectation is that everyone has to be able to literally carry their own weight and if needed - carry your wounded teammate via the Fireman's Carry; which is part of our Combat Readiness Test in the Marines and Army...

Such regulations does NOT preclude the unique Females who can meet the minimum male standards... ie their are several elite female athletes like Olympic Judo champions and UFC fighters Ronda Rousey or Kayla Harrison - they could most certainly pass these tests... But the riddle is - is the combat arms their first and preferred MOS (field of expertise)?

Ya... Marines resisted allowing female Marines to even deploy on an ARG/MEU back in the day - as the same premise of not wanting coed barracks... Just an accident waiting to happen... I was on the 1st ARG/MEU that deployed with a female Marine... Our MEU Commander refused the order on his watch... but much to our surprise - once we were underway - we discovered that the Navy snuck a female Lt into the PHIBRON N-2 shop...

Ya, I've been on enough deployments on Amphibs - we'd have Marines conduct their token Fire-Watch rotations - even on board ship... but down in the Marine Berthing areas they were known as being on 'Sex-Patrol'... to make sure that all the Marines were in their racks and not hooking up with a female sailor...
