Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition. (wikipedia).

AntiFascism, by definition, opposes this. If you oppose antiFascism, then you are in favor of a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, etc.

I have seen these "anti fascists" in both Atlanta and Washington DC. In Atlanta they were carrying baseball bats, garbage can lids as some kind of shield, and wearing helmets.

In DC they were shouting curses at the crowd which included women, small children, even babies. Some of the vilest and nastiest people.

I brought up Hitler because he is the epitome of a fascist leader. Fascism is defined as "a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition." By definition, anti-Fascism -- antifa -- is the exact opposite.

There are those in the US -- or "america" as you call it without capitalization -- who oppose the extreme nationalism and racial hatred in the US today. antifa is such a group, and they oppose "conservative" speakers (though they are anything but) who promote racism and nationalism above freedom of the individual. If by "free speech" you include fascism, do you think that should be promoted in a democracy?

I have lived most of my life in the time when "conservatism" meant something:

• Individual Freedom
• Limited Government
• The Rule of Law
• Peace through Strength
• Fiscal Responsibility
• Free Markets
• Human Dignity

Today it has morphed into political suppression of the opposition, unbridled capitalism, armed control of dissent, currying favor with Communist governments, dishonesty, unlimited ownership and use of guns, and other unAmerican tactics. The epitome was the attack on the Capitol to prevent the legal procedure to certify the results of the Presidential election, and the absurd claim that the election was "stolen". These are the tactics of fascists!

Do some research into how Hitler gained power if you want to understand what is happening in the US today.
