If they do this "baby bonus" junk, there's no way I will vote for this administrations proposed successor. This trash-liberal tactic to buy votes sickens me. Free-money is not a reason to bring children into the world. The American people are not concubines.
Should we take away tax credits for children? Take away the earned income tax credit? Societies have always incentivized behavior they value.

Exactly; and what good is it doing? The birth-rates are down- it's obviously not working. They clearly don't understand the root of the problem. It's not that folks are just 5000 bucks short on cash.
"The problem"? 132 million babies were born in 2023. The general rule of thumb is 50/500 meaning 500 individuals of breeding age are the bare minimum where man can still survive. We are a long, long, long way away from that.
