in other words, the war is very unpopular, and the economy is tanking and oil prices are through the roof, so either we withdraw, or put boots on the ground to open up the strait..

well, oil went from about $109 a barrel this morning to about $89 now, so there is that...

A couple of weeks ago it was $60, so 50% increase in the last three weeks with a spike of almost 100% increase. Best case scenario this is short lived. Worst case it is going to $200.

The Markets simply responded directly to Trump's comments on the WAR being (mostly) Complete and gaining potential control of the Straight of Hormuz...
- He understands the Nature of the INFORMATION WARFARE within the Scope of and Nature of this Real Warfare...
- Many are speculating that Iran - is toast - and is literally reduced to 'All Talk' (they are Bluffing that they will dictate the terms of ending this war) on their Homefront (No Teeth) and are merely stalling to attempt to instigate a Global Jihad...
- Listening to POTUS last night and SECWAR and the CJCS this morning - indications are that it would not be too difficult for the US to gain Control of the Straight of Hormuz - which should serve to stabilize the Markets...
- Bottom-line - the Message is Clear - "Stay the Course"!!

Regarding the REALITY CHECK - it's important to ACKNOWLEDGE the alternative had the US NOT engaged with Israel against the Iranian IMMINENT Threat...
Imagine a 9-11 on steroids coupled with a successful POTUS Assassination and Iran's ability to GAIN and MAINTAIN absolute Control of the Straights of Hormuz for the Foreseeable future with the persistent Threat of Nuclear capabilities harnessed on their (previously) projected growing missile development efforts...
