Hi everyone I've been a christian for about a year and soon i am planning on going to church for the first time in my whole life but i am only 14 and I am worried on how I am going to go walking in by myself, as a 14 year old is that even allowed or do i need my parents?? if it is allowed do i just walk in and sit down or do i need to sign up or something? I am going to ask my dad if he can drive me hopefully I dont chicken out and not ask him but I really want to go. I barely even talk to my parents about God I'm pretty sure they don't believe so this is going to be weird. i dont have any christian friends either. i am planning on going to a baptist church (if my dad says yes not sure if he will) that is like 10min from me. there are some churches closer to me that i could walk to but they are like catholic and anglican and all that stuff. please help i dont really know how i am going to do this should i just wait till I can drive (17 where i live)

If you walk in by yourself, nothing is required of you. Just take a seat, and you can expect someone to come up and welcome you either before the service starts or afterwards. Hopefully you will meet some girls your own age.

Once they know you have no transportation (if that happens), they will probably offer to pick you up each week. Or you can ask if someone goes by your house to ride with.

Honey, you must talk to your parents about this. Don't leave the house without telling them where you are going. Just not a good thing to do. I hope you enjoy your first visit. Tell us about it.

You need to go to a church that believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and the importance of His Blood for our salvation. Of the ones you mentioned the Baptist is probably the best. If you have been in the Word during the time since your salvation you will be better able to discern if a church is right or not after you've been there awhile. Ask the Lord to help you know and ask for favor from your parents so they will let you go.

I'm pretty sure you can go alone and you don't need to sign up or inform for it unless you plan to do some volunteer work at the church. If you are able to go without asking your parents then I'd say try it. Otherwise if you can't take public transportation if transportation is needed to get there then you'll have no choice but to ask.

Go for it, Kaitlyn! I encourage you to attend Sunday school for teens if the church offers one - it's a great opportunity to connect with other young ones on fire for God who will help you in your walk with Christ. So, explore the Baptist church website for their statement of faith, youth ministry, time and location for Sunday school and whatnot. Definitely inform your dad about it. I hope you get a positive response from him. :)

Kaitlyn...you have nothing to worry about..as long as they follow the scripture
...I went to a baptist church before....the choir was great.....
they did this march down the isle and sang beautifully....when I was your age....I use to ride my bike to church..
Always ask your parents before you go anywhere.....hey who knows...they might want to come one day....
As long as you find peace there.... you will be fine....stay with us ...id like to know what you think after you go...
I pray you have a great experiance and I think you are a smart girl to come in tune with your spirituality so young...
we are your family in Christ...and we will be here for you....God loves you ...and im sure the church will
love you too....peace baby sister....jo
