Prophecy is not the same thing as Old Covenant made on Mount Sinai.

The covenant with Abraham is not part of the Old covenant at Sinai either.

Explains that the covenant at Mount Sinai and it's laws was added because of sin until Jesus comes and establishes the New covenant which was promised to Abraham.

That is correct, Abraham didn't have the Levitical Priesthood. It was "ADDED" 430 years later. But he did have God's Laws, at least according to His Word.

Matthew 6

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Can you list which laws Abraham had according to scriptures?

I think it's an interesting question the OP has raised regarding the Old Covenant.

The question is, has the mosaic covenant been cancelled by the new covenant?
Or is the new covenant a separate, distinct covenant with its own promises that relate to the mosaic covenant?

Well if we tackle the premise of the first question; scripture uses the words "disannual", "annaul", "dissolved" or "cancel" when speaking about covenants (depending on your English version). But the Hebrew word used is "kuppar" (a version a "kaphar") and means "to cover over" or "to make propitiation". And the only time it's used is in relation to the covenant of death in Isaiah 28:18. It's Greek counterpart is "akyroi", used in Galatians 3:17 and means "to cancel" or "to make of none effect".

These are two different concepts we're dealing with concerning covenants:

Kuppar (Heb.) = To cover

Akyroi (Grk.) = To cancel

Which is the correct meaning? Can a covenant be cancelled or can a covenant only be covered/layered over (presumably by another covenant)? Well if we read Galatians 3, Paul gives an example of a human covenant to explain the concept about Yah's covenants:

Galatians 3:15
Brothers, let me put this in human terms. Even a human covenant, once it is ratified, cannot be canceled or amended.

Scripture says just like even human covenants can't be cancelled once ratified/confirmed, so Yah's covenants can't be cancelled either. So the proper translation of Kuppar in Isaiah 28:18 is "your covenant with death shall be covered over". This means all covenants remain active once confirmed. Paul even explains this point further in relation to the Abrahamic covenant not being revoked by the law (of sacrifices) that was given because of Israel's transgression.

Galatians 3:17
What I mean is this: The Law that came four hundred thirty years later does not revoke the covenant previously established by God, so as to cancel the promise.

So if human covenants can't be cancelled, and if the Abrahamic covenant can't be cancelled or revoked, then neither can any other covenant Yah has entered into be cancelled when confirmed. This means the mosaic covenant can't be cancelled or revoked either. But is there proof of this? Yes I think so. Note the following examples fromm scripture:

1) The most obvious example is found in the same chapter of Galatians 3 in verse 10. If the mosaic covenant was cancelled by the new covenant then why are there curses on anyone who now performs the sacrificial works of the law, but who doesn't perform all the rest that's written in the book of the law? The curses are specifically from the mosaic covenant right?

2) Another example is when Israel rejected Christ, he said in Matthew 24 and Luke 21:20-24 that the time of punishment (i.e. days of vengeance) would begin in fulfillment of all that was written in the scriptures. This is directly referring to Deuteronomy 28 and its curses for not obeying Yah (starting at verse 15). If the mosaic covenant was cancelled by the new covenant then why do the punishments of Deuteronomy fall on Israel for disobedience, years after Christ ascended to heaven, starting in 70AD? The new covenant was definitely active at Pentecost (Shavuot).

-----

This is why I encourage us to reconsider the relationship between the mosaic covenant and new covenant, as well as reconsider the idea that the mosaic covenant and the law are the same thing. They must be separated because we know that the curses of the mosaic covenant are still active after the new covenant, but works of the law of sacrifices has passed away.

when Covenant ratified can not be cancel

the fact is we not kill adulterer anymore.

Did the instruction to kill adulterer never been ratified?

Can you list which laws Abraham had according to scriptures?

with Bible references please.

I already did. Abraham had God's Laws, not his own, or some local religion. He had God's Laws except the Levitical Priesthood which was "ADDED" later. Levi wasn't even born yet.

Rom. 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, (Justification and remission of sins through the Levitical Priesthood) but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Abraham trusted in God enough to follow His instructions and that was called "Faith". His sins were forgiven, not through the Levitical Priesthood ceremonial, sacrificial "Works of the Law" given through Moses 430 years later, but because He "Believed in God" enough to place Him and His instructions even before His own son.

That is called "FAITH". (See Heb. 11)

Absolutely!!!!!

Glory be to the Holy One of Israel, the Word which became Flesh.

Eph. 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of (Man's) works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Jer 6:16 Thus saith the LORD (The Word which became flesh), Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Matt. 11:28 Come unto me (The Word which became Flesh), all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Glory be to God and His Son, the Word which became Flesh, the savior of man.

Disagree with this premise

The Levite priesthood was set up at Sinai.
.the Melchizedek was part of the Abrahamic covenant.

The statements before this one I agree with....

Disagree with timing and all these premises/ conclusions

Exodus 19:5-6
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him.

8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.

9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.

10 And the Lord said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,

11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the Lord will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

This is the moment when the covenant was proposed and agreed to by Israel. 3 days before the voice at Mt. Sinai.

Notice from this passage that no commands or laws were given to Israel just yet. This covenant wasn't "The Law" but an agreement "to obey whatever Yah tells Israel to do", this is why it had to be agreed to first before any law was given. The moment they agreed they would be bound to obey ANYTHING Yah commands of them, at any point.

So say he told them to kneel for 30 secs every Monday, they were bound to obey. But let's say he changed this command later on and told them to jump for 20 minutes every Monday instead, they were still bound to obey. Then let's say he changed the command back to the original kneeling years later, they still were bound to obey because of the covenant. Such changes in commands don't nullify the "covenant of obedience" Israel has with Yah's because it's based on them obeying, not on which laws were given to them to obey. See what I mean?

Let me try to illustrate it visually through text:

Obey me Israel...
kneel for 30 secs > now jump for 20 minutes > now back to kneeling for 30 secs

Obey me Israel...
Follow these commands > now do these Levitical works also > now back to following just these commands

So the covenant that was proposed was a "covenant of obedience" between Israel and Yah, with the purpose being Israel would become a treasured kingdom of priests (i.e. a priest kingdom). Notice the phrase "kingdom of priests" in the passage above. There was never supposed to be just priests from Levi in this covenant.

...But Israel disobeyed the first set of commands...

So Yah commanded them further to perform the undesirable animal rites (until they could be forgiven), saying "By disobeying my commands you're in violation of our agreement. I have every right to kill you, so you had better obey this (sacrifice) law if you don't want to die" (I'm paraphrasing). The tribe of levi then received the right to be the personal possession Yah promised to the whole nation because they were the only group who sided with Yah when Moses caught the people disobeying, so they reaped the benefits of the promise of set-apart priesthood.

Then after Christ and forgiveness/salvation/restoration, the undesirable animal rites are no longer required and the levitical priesthood is no longer applicable because the original promise was now restored, so this necessitates a law change because elements are obsolete. Now ALL tribes of Israel could once again be Yah's kingdom of priests to the world...and with the promise of the Holy Spirit (i.e. the new covenant) they'd now have the fear of Yah and ability to obey him and never again violate the covenant made at Mt. Sinai.

Mt. Sinai - A kingdom of priests. Priest kings.

So the Melchizedek priesthood wasn't part of the Abrahamic covenant but was specifically the purpose of the covenant at Mt. Sinai. Yah has only covenanted with Israel to be a kingdom of priests, no one else. Gentile believers in Christ are being grafted into Israel right now. Then when Israel awakens from its blindness and is regathered, ALL of Israel (jew and gentile branches) is purposed to take the knowledge of Yah to the world (Romans 11:1-30)...this is why for now Yah has subjected the world to its current emptiness & futility. He's letting the world operate however it wants to until the children of Yah are manifested (Romans 8:20). Yah has an order to his plan and he will do all that he has purposed to do.

Jeremiah 31:35-37
35 Thus saith the Lord, which gives the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divides the sea when the waves thereof roar; Yah of hosts is his name:

36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.

Israel hasn't been replaced.

(Sorry. I think I went on a tangent towards the end, but it's hard not to because it's all connected.)

Mount Sinai outlines the Levitical priesthood.....of you want to deny it....then there is no point in discussing anything further

The Jews were entrusted with the Oracles of God. However only the priests could enter the Tabernacle...only the High Priest was allowed to enter the Holy of Holies and only once a year.

Israel rejected God's plan to make them into a nation of priests..,.they said DO NOT LET GOD SPEAK TO US.

Exodus 20

18Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraidd and trembled, and they stood far off 19and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” 20Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” 21The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

Some people still reject praying and actually believing that God will answer them Himself. They say let other people and things speak to us for God,but refuse to hear God and the Holy spirit actually speaks to His children.

How ot you explain 1 and 2 consistent?

Greek for "new moon" = νεομηνίας

Greek for "new" as used for "New covenant" = καινῆς

They are different words

Greek Concordance: καινῆς (kainēs) -- 3 Occurrences

Corinthians 3:6 Adj-GFS

Yes we know the Levutical priesthood has been changed.

Jesus talks about a New covenant not renewing the one made at Mount Sinai but fulfilling the one made to Abrahame, David and the Seed, Christ Jesus.

New moon has the three dots under the middle "d" letter making it an "e" and not an "a" like renew or new. Also the the first letter has differences too. Remembering Hebrew is read right to left.

ahh I see you are using the vowel points added thousands of years after the text was written, the same vowel points that altered the name of the Most High.

why does one word have 3 entries?

it is the same word all 3 times the masorites add the vowel pointing thousands of years after the text was written...

also even if you view is correct and it is 3 differnt words properly, let me remind you the original had no such vowel points, but is it a completely new moon every time or the same moon and a new cycle?

also neos and kainos...matahesis and metathemai

I know some folks like to ignore jots and titles...but they are different words for a reason.,,perhaps read the Bible instead of make the Bible fit your man-made theology?חָדַשׁ

Ariel the man made theology is the vowel points YHWH says this:

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Psalm 89:26-37, “He will call out to Me; ‘You are My Father, O YHWH! You are the Rock of My salvation!’ And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast with Him. And I will establish His Seed forever, and His throne will be as the days of heaven. Should His children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from Him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change what has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness, I cannot lie, and I say to David; His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky.”

The Masoretes (Hebrew: בעלי המסורה‬ Ba'alei ha-Masora) were groups of Jewish scribe-scholars who worked between the 6th and 10th centuries CE,[SUP][1][/SUP] based primarily in early medieval Palestine in the cities of Tiberias and Jerusalem, as well as in Iraq (Babylonia). Each group compiled a system of pronunciation and grammatical guides in the form of diacritical notes (niqqud) on the external form of the biblical text in an attempt to standardize the pronunciation, paragraph and verse divisions and cantillation of the Jewish Bible, the Tanakh, for the worldwide Jewish community.

now we can debate if this was helpful or not to the hebrew written in the text but fact is it did not exist when any of the Torah or prophets were written

There is something to be said to Oral tradition.

God made more than One Covenant. If you want to deny it, your choice.
