Psa 69:20
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked
for some to take pity, but
there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
If you have been suffering reproach due to your allegiance to Christ, then, as painful as it can be, God is being glorified.
1Pe 4:14
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy
are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
1Pe 4:15
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or
as a thief, or
as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
1Pe 4:16
Yet if
any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
Whatever the case may be, I know what it is like to not receive pity or comfort from others, so if you ever want to talk, then I am a good listener. I am not inviting you to a pity party. I am just saying that we need to uplift and comfort others who are going through trials, and I have faced many trials of my own.
2Co 1:3
Blessed
be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2Co 1:4
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
