Hello everyone my name is Richard! I live on the Oregon coast. So a little bit about myself, I am 36 married with 3 kids. I have been a Christian since I was a young boy. For quite a while I have found myself drifting not reading my Bible, not praying as much as I should. Recently been coming back to my roots. I found this site and am here to hear the word of God, and find guidance from him and all my brothers and sisters of Christ. Hope you all have a good day.

Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Welcome Maplewood. If you want to get back into reading the Bible, one study group in my church is reading the "Immerse" bible. It is a multi-volume set, but it presents the Bible without separating chapters and verses, so that it reads more like the kind of book you might just pick up to read. Some people like that it does not have the chapter and verse breaks that they find distracting. It will note what section you are reading at the top of the page though, so that if you want to go to a specific verse, based on what you read, you can at locate it is a regular bible.
