Don't be shy! The good thing about the internet is that you can be yourself, put yourself out there and share your thoughts and feelings. If you get someone being rude (which unfortunately can happen even here on CC), then just completely ignore them on the boards or chat rooms.
But I'm sure you will find that this place has really good people who want to share their faith and encourage one another.
