Hello everyone.
I hope all is well, and I hope the beginning of your weekend will start off great.

I am a new member to this website, I have joined since yesterday (Thursday, Oct. 3). I am a college student who is going to be finishing up the fall semester with an A.A. degree in social work in December, then I would begin my career and hopefully save up enough money to go to graduate school to receive my Bachelor's degree.

I go to church, but I am not a christian because I am not saved or baptized, but I would like to be because I know that I am not a perfect person and I know that I have made mistakes but I know that God will never leave me or forsake me because of my mistakes. If anyone have any advice about being saved, taking discipleship classes and being baptized, please let me know.

hi Broken
Being saved is simple as a prayer. Praying to God, admitting you're a sinner and need His forgiveness and committing yourself to Him. Accepting Jesus into your heart. You don't need anyone else around, and there's nothing formal or a specific wording. Long as you're sincere you can word it however you feel comfortable.

Far as baptism, this is not required. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith and a symbol of your rebirth. Typically baptism takes place at a church where you are a regular member. Same with discipleship classes.

If you have any more questions feel free to message me.

Hey there. Welcome to the site! I think it's marvelous that you are looking to be saved, and God is ecstatic when we come to him. If you believe in him, believe that Jesus is Lord and can save you, and you go to him confessing your sins and repenting/making a commitment to him to keep striving to do better that's your first step right there, and you seem ready to do it. If you have a church and you feel lead to be baptized then absolutely do it! I"m so excited for you and what God's doing in your life. :)

If you believe and follow Jesus Christ, you are a Christian. Yes, get baptized. Find a church of believers and let them know you want to be baptized. In the meantime, read your Bible, the New Testament and learn all about Jesus!

Hey welcome brokenhearted. I hope you find answers to questions you have on here and seek God for the ultimate answers. I would begin by praying with the Lord so you can maintain a working relationship with Him. As long as you are truly seeking God he will show himself to you.

Do you go to a baptist church?
