I think it would be really cool if there was a craft thread. I know there are a lot of craft forums already, but it would be nice if some of the crafty people on this site could share their projects. If you wanted to make it more specific for this site you could limit it to Christian themed projects only.
 
If you mean 'thread', users make threads. You just started a thread about the idea of having a craft thread. So ideally, if that's a thread idea you're interested in you can simply make it yourself, probably in Misc. If you meant a forum section, there needs to be a lot of demand apparent to the site owner, RoboOp.
There is also the 'chat group' option which, unlike threads that can be shifted down the page or onto older pages, are always in one place. Unfortunately the majority i see are not used often. But if you want to try making your own chat group just go to the top of the page and look for 'Community', then in the drop down menu click 'Chat Groups' and it's pretty simple from there.
You can then add a link to the chat group in your forum signature to advertise it.
