You're right, I was one who thought those very things. One site became the other Thank you for clarifying.:)
A fella named Steve and I were the last Moderators on RR before it went down. It was sad knowing that it wasn't going to continue. We suggested folks go to RF which was already considered a sister site.

If I thought we were going to have to be going through Jacob's Trouble, I would be downcast, fearful, and buying up weapons and food and digging me a hole in a rock somewhere. Instead, we have a blessed hope, and can look at this world and know "things are not falling apart, but falling into place", as foretold.
Amen, brother. (y)
We are heading for a wedding! :D

Welcome to Christian Chat!
CC is close to 25 years old!
Magenta, So why has it never come up when I type in "Christian Chat" when I was just looking for a christian chatroom to have someone to talk to when I needed it?! I had not heard of it until a few days or so ago when I joined!!! Glad it was recommended for sure! lol

That is a good question, and one I also wondered after I found this site, after looking multiple times before that.

I guess we can't expect Google to do our job for us then. :geek:

When I go back to the last page of threads in BDF, a member there joined as early as Feb 15, 2006 .

I have to agree with Oyster above. We have had forum shakeups before. We don't necessarily need to defend or persuade, and certainly not to the point of angry arguments, nor are we here for any agenda other than fellowship and being among the like minded who share faith in Christ.
I personally stay out of getting into a debate to defend or persuade about the pre-trib rapture position. Sometimes I'm asked by others to defend my position by some who have looked at things a little more allegorically. I just don't feel the need to get involved in those types of discussions. When taken literally, except in the instances where it clearly isn't meant to be, the Bible is quite easy to understand. I'm thankful for that!

It could have just been one post about cheeseburgers too many!

Not gonna lie, it stung a bit to find the gates locked. I wish the admin could have posted a less vague reason, or at least given people a chance to say goodbye or where they might be heading. I think the board took an inordinate amount of time, it probably hung over his head and obviously something was the final straw. Maybe he can at least relax a little now.

But now we can get acquainted with our family here, and maybe see some more familiar posters come in.

I like your creativity @Magenta! What's your favorite painting/drawing app?

@Fillan, good to see you too, I recall the Lismore avatar.
Yes, it did sting! I gained so much from the fellowship and perspectives of other adult Christians there I have actually felt a void from not being able to participate any longer. At least a why and a goodbye!

I guess if challenged I could always just post a link to a video. It's nice that we can actually do that here.
If it is a youtube video, you can post the actual vid.

In the row of icons above message box, to the right of the happy face for emojis, there is a
downward pointing arrow preceded by three dots. When you hover your cursor over it, Insert
comes up. Click it, and five options appear, the first one being Media. Click Media, and an app
opens providing a text box where you can Enter media URL. That is where you enter the url
from youtube for the video you wish to post. Then click Continue, and your video is ready to post.

If art doesn't work out for you, you could have a very successful career writing instruction manuals.

I used to correspond with him before he got sick. He was a fine fellow.

Do you know how to get in touch with
Andy C.? I’m kinda missing that jarhead:D
Yes - Miss you already Andy! It's not the same without you.
Maybe on the searchable thread, it would help to shout out the screen names of people we remember?
HEY ATHENASIUS from Rapture Forums, that shut down! Come over here to Christianchat.com!! :D
I can't remember Janice's screen name.
