Now there came a man of the Pharisees whose name was Nicodemus, a member of the council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could do the miraculous signs that you do unless God were with him.”
Nicodemus went to Jesus in the night , he has on his mind the question of how a man could be saved, He was a man who was real religious , but was blind as a bat when it come to salvation, Jesus told him plainly and simple , A man must be born again to inter the kingdom of heaven.
Nicodemus replied how can a man go back into his mother womb and be born again?
He just could not grasp what the lord was telling him , but Jesus described that it was not a natural birth but a spiritual birth ,, Jesus said a man must be born of the water and of spirit, the water is the word of God and the spirit . i have no idea if Nicodemus was ever saved . but I hope he was, it does not tell us if he did or not.
Some people thinks that just being good and religious will get them into heaven, but it want , The spiritual birth is when we repent and believe the Gospel , God does the birthing into the family of God , we must repent and have faith in God . I hope Nicodemus got saved but we want know till we get to heaven.. Tell someone today how much God cares for their souls, and God desires that all men be born spiritually into the family of God. thanks for ready God loves you more than you can understand as a human being..
