God does not condemn the world on the basis of sin. (condemned to the lake of fire)

John 3:17
For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

People are condemned on the basis of not believing in His Son.

John 3:18
“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

People are condemned on the basis of not believing in His Son.
No they are not, they are condemned by the law and their sins against it, so they can not believe in Christ Jesus because He did not die for them and fullfil the law for them. Nobody Christ died for can not believe and cannot be condemned for unbelief.

When Adam sinned they sinned.

Nonsense. When Adam sinned, all died. All other men sinned because of death

On account of this as if through one man the sin entered into the world, and through the sin, death; and thus to all men death went through, upon which all sinned. Romans 5:12

Thou knowest not what thou talketh about. All men will be judged by the words of Christ, not Moses' words

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. John 12:48-49
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:18-19

Fear of death is named as the cause of bondage/slavery.

Hebrews2-14-16.jpg

Hebrews 2 v 14-16 Since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not the angels He helps, but the descendants of Abraham.

You mean I've just wasted the past 69 years? All I had to do was believe something to be true and it would have occurred?

The reason believing Jesus is the Saviour has a salvific effect is because the power to accomplish salvation is in THE WORD!

Why you find that so hard to believe is ironic.
The Word is God.

True, but God loves them and is merciful if they repent and accept Christ as Lord.

No it's not true. God never created hell (aka the lake of fire) for men. No-one goes to the lake of fire for their sin for if it was the punishment for sin then that is what Christ would have had to endure to pay for our sins, He did not. He endured what it was like to be spiritually dead by being forsaken. That is the consequence of sin, spiritual death, or as the scripture decribes it, "dead in our sin". This death is not everlasting like the lake is, it only requires to be born of God which is what the Lord promised (among other promises) to all who believe.

If you had no free will then you wouldn't be able to post the things you wrote. Think about people who are in a certain country that have no free will their leader makes them believe what he believes and if they mess up then he will kill the whole family and generations of that family for one act of disobedience.
God gave us free will to be able to either choose to be obedient or to not. We have many acts of disobedience and he sent his son so he can forgive us for our sins.

I think your understanding of what Christ suffered during the atonement is correct, but not your understanding
of what sinners suffer during the attainment of justice in hell.

OK, let's say I have lied once or twice during my lifetime. What is a just punishment for my lies ? Can you folks specify a just punishment for lying ?
