Luke 9:5 If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

The ruling is based on the fact that most of their teachings align with a Republican platform. That would be true of any Evangelical group.

Looks pretty clear to me that we are not welcome here anymore.

So if new Churches cannot get tax exempt status...or Old ones are no longer tax exempt or sued by the Government for back taxes...how long can they continue to exist?

I know that many people prefer small group bible studies...but some prefer a larger church organization.

And if this stands and continues we are talking about the confiscation of all church assets and buildings.

Taxing charities is unbelievable.
Even political action committees are tax exempt. But because this religious organization promoted things in line with one particular political party they suspend their tax exempt status?

I can't help that the religious principles have been around longer than the political party or that the political party has adopted these principles.

This is what fascism looks like...
This is Marxism...pure and simple.

I don't think the gathering of believers should think it's Armageddon if a government did this. God doesn't say man shall live by his tax exempt status.....I will say one thing though. If they did tax the churches that could mean a lot of things churches do for free to help out a community might not be able to occur and government knows very well if they had to cancel out their helping society programs guess where the people will be going....TO GOVERNEMENT for money. Government should always be asking the question....are we sure we REALLY want to do this? It's not necessary increased income they'd be getting.

They will be shooting themselves in the foot. IF they begin to tax/rule over Churches, then they CAN NOT refuse to allow Churches/Religion to be involved in the Government.

This "separation" thingy would be null and void.............

It really doesn't matter. The vast majority of Christians won't even pay attention, and the ones that do will gripe and moan, and, in the end, do nothing at all. LOOK at our "record." When was the last time in this Nation that the Church STOOD UP AND SAID NO MORE?
