we never walk with the dinosaurs we where created after the ice age. The first and only human species who had free will my friend. but the flood wasn't the first time that all life on the planet was destroyed by god or the gods just the last time. and only some life was destroyed in the planet and some lived. the bible does not lie its taken out of context do to the lack of knowledge to read it correctly. the enlightenment. it is one of many ways he kept us from having too much knowledge for our maturity and lack of control of our free will
Hmm... What Bible are you reading? Because mine doesn't say anything like that. Be careful to stick to God's truth.
The Ice Age was a result of Noah's Flood. The earth's conditions prepared for an Ice Age not long after the Flood ended. The Ice Age was possibly in effect around the time of the Tower of Babel or not long after. Adam and Eve were the first humans and they were created very early on. Souls and all.

i'm reading the kjv and it does say it clearly. No bible backs your statement. nor does any history of a ice age after the flood in fact we where promised that nothing of this magnitude would ever happen again. even though science does tell us that it should of as a result of the great flood like it did before but it didn't happen. ill save my proof of this through scriptures for a non make believer

Ken Ham got too big for his boots. CMI sued for defamation because Ken slandered Carl's family (and spiritual family) and spread hearsay about them (none of which was true).
All the more reason to take everything Ken Ham says as the word of a god.

So the Ice Age started after 2348 BC, your date for Noah's Flood. Your date (Ussher's) for the Tower of Babel is 2242 BC. That gives you 106 years for the Ice Age.

This makes perfect sense to you?

not to mention, no death entered the world until the sin of the first human. So there could not have been death before mankind.

Around 100 or so years to prepare for the Ice Age? Sure. Then it lasted around 700 years. Antarctica is still left over from the one Ice Age.

Think my friend.

1. Water covering the earth would cause a MASS cooldown, causing the ice age (no land to reflect the sun)
2. Scripture states Job was in an area where there was snow. Imagine snow that far south, how could that be?? Oh wait. global cooling due to a flood

I test what he says, don't you worry. You seem to think biblical creationists believe blindly. I would say theistic evolutionists practice that much more often. Also, why is it that this seems to be one of the few threads you visit at CC?

You don't seem to understand the point. By your timings, the ice age only lasted 106 years, which is an extremely short period of time.

You're the one who's not listening. I said, Noah's Flood to Tower of Babel = time for the preparation of the Ice Age (the conditions that lead up to it). That means following the Tower, the Ice Age would've lasted a maximum of 700 years before thawing out.

The current interglacial period started from 12,000 to 110,000 years ago, which means the Earth has been warming since then. We're technically still in an ice age. You're saying that a catastrophic flood caused an ice age that only lasted 700 years. That is blatantly false, since we're actually still in an ice age, and ice ages last millions of years.

Have a look at the Epic of Gilgamesh. It wouldn't be unheard of for parables to be borrowed from other places.

At its peak the Ice Age lasted around 700 years, yes. Yes, the Earth has been warming since. But Ice Ages last millions of years? Oh, really? How original of you. Why am I not surprised you believe scientists over God? Or rather, what can be extrapolated from studying God's Word and looking around you?

Scientific evidence of a 700 year ice age beginning in the 23rd century BC please? The burden of proof is yours.

Red and yellow black and white, they are precious in His site Jesus Loves the little velociraptors of the world.
Sorry I could resist, I'll go sit in the repentance corner and take a time out :)
That was awesome! I've never understood that part of the song though. I mean, I know it's about Jesus loving people from every world culture but the colours described - really? Red - what are they, sunburnt? Yellow - what do they have, jungle fever/jaundice? Black - okay, now we're getting somewhere. White - what are they, anemic? Okay, I give up! :p

OK, I'm done thinking, at least about this.

There are places in the Middle East where it snows.

Don't you remember last December when there were big snow storms there? It was all over the national news. With video of snow surrounding the Dome of the Rock and such.

I'm not a theistic evolutionist. I'm not anything that doesn't have the word Christian in it.

I don't visit more threads because I can only stand so much of this "the world is 6,000 years old" BS.

Incidentally, I was just reading some articles over at Answers in Genesis about the Ice Age. In response to some scientific facts the statement is made that: "Though this range is clearly not accurate because it lies outside of the Bible's total timeline of 6,000 years."

The problem here with the failure to communicate is that you YECs here start a discussion with a conclusion you will not waver from, no matter what evidence is presented. I'm sure you understand that this is fallacious logical reasoning, but you don't care. You want affirmation not information. You want affirmation that the world is 6,000 years old and a whole lot of other nonsense.

I know, you go ask Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis and I'll go ask the Dinosaur Man, Robert T. Bakker. Then we'll compare notes.

“Inveterate creationists, then or now, never allow their faith to fall victim to facts.”
Robert T. Bakker, The Dinosaur Heresies: New Theories Unlocking the Mystery of the Dinosaurs and Their Extinction
I don't "go ask' any fallable man. I read the Bible where God gives me my answers. As the old lady said, "Try it you may like it".

are there christians that are also scientist? Are there any intellectual intelligent people that are also christians? i truly believe that there is. But I have a hard time with the twisting and turning of the bible to suit there denominations. And to still think that such a complex book is supposed to be read in childish ways without understanding. All my life I've struggled to be a good christian but i never truly got it. As a matter of fact all i saw was contradictions and confusion.until it destroyed my faith in god and in man. Until i was at my meekest point in my life and then one day as i opened a kj bible and started to read it without bias or prejudice and i started to see things i never saw before and i started to see patterns and choice of words used started to make since of things in a way that i never thought possible. not only did all the contradictions disappear but i truly believe every word. I can start to explain my finding and how i came about them in scripture but I must warn you first it changes allot of things that christians have been taught to believe and goes against what we have been taught to perceive through blind faith and ignorance and reading out of text.i dont have any hidden agendas and this is not a work of the devil. i just wanted to pass down what i have learned to my fellow man how i went from a man with no faith into a true believer where nothing else worked. I call this the enlightenment! its time we put down our childish ways!

To answer, "are there christians that are also scientist?" Here are a few who have accepted the biblical account of creation and believe the Bible. They're also very "intellectual intelligent people ". Space won't allow to list a whole lot more.
