Nobody can pretend ignorance in order to excuse their sins (part 12):

Behold where we can see His wisdom:

4 – in the land, fields, even in the dust of the ground (Prov 8:26).

• “who gives rain on the earth and sends waters on the field,” (Job 5:10).

Many people think that they get their sustenance from their work. Nonetheless, it will be of no use working if there isn’t rain. There will be money, but there won’t be food and water to buy (see Isaiah 2;20). The detail is that we can’t control the rain (and I hope that this continues thus). Only the Creator, in His Wisdom, can give rain in the right measure to bless us and also to judge us when necessary through dries and floods.

See these instances of the judgment of the Creator over the fields:

• “For Heshbon's fields droop, the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have crushed its choice plants, they have come to Jazer, they wander in the desert; her branches are stretched out, they have crossed the sea.” (Isaiah 16:8);
• “They shall mourn for the breasts, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.” (Isa 32:12);
• “Yes, tear your heart and not your robes, and turn to Jehovah your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and He pities because of the evil. Who knows if He will turn and have pity and leave a blessing behind Him, a food offering and a drink offering to Jehovah your God?” (Joe 2:14).

At moments like these, we can hard our heart and try to sort out the problems by ourselves in our ways (see Jer 7:24; 11:8) or we can do such as the prodigal son:

• “And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country. And he sent him into his fields to feed pigs. And he was longing to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, and no one gave to him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father abound in loaves, and I perish with hunger!” (Luk 15:15-17).

It was in the fields that he was able to perceive the difference between his father and antic people. In the fields we can contemplate the Creator’s care for animals and plants (we can see this in the talking of the Creator with Job in Job 38, 39)…

• Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are?” (Mat 6:26);
• And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin, but I say to you that even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Mat 6:28,29);
• “He gives the beasts their food, and to the young ravens which cry.” (Psa 147:9).

…And even for the dust of the land:

• “Who has cut a channel for the flood, or a way for the thunderclaps; to cause rain to fall on the earth where no man is, a wilderness and no man in it; to satisfy the desolate and waste ground, and to cause the source of grass to spring forth?” (Job 38:25).

So, have a good day eyeing the signs of the care of the Creator on you in the minimal things, including in the dust (Ps 40:5; 103:2).
