• “Was it not You who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?” (Isa 51:10);
• “He led them through the deep, like a horse in the wilderness, so that they would not stumble.” (Isa 63:13).
Second, because He will manifest His presence in your defense:
• “The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You; they were afraid; the depths also were troubled.” (Psa 77:16).
Besides, who knows if there are enemies to be rescued in the abyss of death (see Ps 23:5)? Not to mention that our ministry includes to preach to gospel to all creature (and not only to men – Mark 16:15). Remember that the desire of the Creator is that all living being praise Him (Psalms 150:6), including the abyss itself and those in it:
• “Let praise be to Jehovah from the earth, the sea-monsters, and all deeps;” (Psa 148:7).
Moreover, do you remember how the Holy Scripture starts, where the Eternal’s Spirit was when He recreated this world?
• “And the earth was without form and empty. And darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters.” (Gen 1:2).
Finally, it doesn’t mind where you go to! There the Holy Spirit will be with you and His word will be near you:
• “Where shall I go from Your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from Your presence? If I go up into Heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.” (Psa 139:7,8).
• “But the righteousness of faith says this: "Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into Heaven?" that is, to bring Christ down; or "Who shall descend into the deep?"; that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead. But what does it say? "The Word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart"; that is, the Word of Faith which we proclaim;” (Rom 10:6-8).
So, be happy in Christ Jesus and don’t forget: if you are in the deepest of the abyss, certainly it’s impossible the things get worse; there isn’t possibility of you descend more!
