My friend you posted on this site. That alone proves that you are not too far gone and that you are already on the path to redemption. Yeshua meets us where we are when we let him. Your question is hard to answer with a "yes" or a "no". Baptism is about where you are and your willingness to accept. It's not about church or about you being perfect; you aren't. Baptism is of the spirit, it's about YOUR acceptance and acknowledgement of Yeshua as lord. It is the beginning of your journey and oh, what a glorious trip it will be.

Would it be better to baptise my children when there a bit older and they have found themselves a bit or would you do it aspa
Baptism is an act of obedience to the work of God in them joining the believer to Christ. As such, it should be done after salvation.

I decided to get baptized again as a teenager after spending some time reading the Bible and learning the meaning of baptism.
I didn't remember anything about my first baptism and it was something meaningful to me after I learned what it meant as related to one of the principles mentioned in the video.
St. Phillip the Evangelist gave the clear example of an Ethiopian who worked for a queen. Acts of the Apostles, ch. 8.
God sent Phillip to the man because he had a question like yours. The Ethiopian had an honorable heart that wanted to know what the Bible said and asked Phillip if he would explain. Baptism was discussed, but St. Phillip would not baptize him until he clearly understood that the Book of Isaiah prophesy said about Jesus. The man decided that he wanted to make that decision to stop trusting his own good works and instead trust Jesus, the Son of God the Father.
Afterwards, he baptized the man and he went on his way rejoicing. He had to understand the right Biblical perspective and even though he wanted to do a good deed, like getting baptized, Phillip needed to teach him about it's significance, then let the man make the decision as explained in that video above.
If I was considering this for my children, I would take St. Phillip's example.
We were all too far gone. That is why Jesus died on the Cross for us. He paid the price that we could not pay. It is only because of Him that we can get a second chance. His offer of Salvation is open to Everyone. That means You.
Give Him everything, the good, bad, and the ugly. He wants to clean you up and make you a new man. Only He can do this thing. He loves you and wants to start right now. You don't have to understand how it works. He died on the Cross to make it possible for you to be saved from your sins and go to Heaven. You can learn more later. Just come to Him now.

), although some of your children may already be old enough to decide, since some do come to Christ at an early age. I would also suggest a course of action that follows through on your intention on how to raise your children. That means taking them to church, and getting them involved in youth groups, as well as setting a good example for them by becoming involved in your church fellowship too; perhaps a good Bible study. My church family is absolutely wonderful, and I hope you are likewise able to find something that meets your needs while providing you a way to serve as well

THE Gospel unto Salvation:
God wrapped Himself in human flesh in the form of His Son, Jesus the Messiah. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He suffered, was crucified, and died to pay OUR sin debt. He was raised to life from the grave to prove He had defeated death. If you confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that His Father resurrected Him to Life on the 3rd day, you WILL be saved. You will be filled, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will empower ALL to turn from their sins. The sin of adultery, lying, stealing, homosexuality, gossip, slander, drunkenness, covetousness, etc... And most importantly the sin of DEAD works, or a moral life in an attempt to EARN Salvation. He will also equip you to love like He did and do good works for HIS Glory.
