Yup exactly what I told him.

The other side.... the informal use of "insane" means beyond ordinary .... so now he has been educated on the word and its meaning.
What I don't get is why would you call someone else a liar rather than just say I should have used a different term?

Just own it. Take responsibility.

I know he just meant it as a figure of speech. But apparently that figure of speech was taboo on this thread. That's what happens when you come in at page 2000 and then don't come back until page 5000.

You miss some pretty important stuff.

Like what's the actual score? 5500 to 0? Did we have halftime yet?

They called Rome the eternal city, I think WE can call this the eternal thread.... certainly the truth of the OP is Eternal.:)

Intent vs. Impact

You called something someone else did "insane".

Perhaps your intent was not to call them insane. Perhaps your intent was to separate insane actions from an insane mind. Perhaps that was only your intent after the fact.

The impact of what you said is that you actually called the person insane. Because insane actions only come from insane people.

WE can't always know what the impact of what we say will have versus the intent of what we say is. Its easy to deny the impact of what was said. But it is an impact, nonetheless.
Do you know that insane can mean “outrageous” or “shocking”. I explained that was my intent.

And GB9 has called me a legalist and other names.

I am hearing about a movement of Christianity that perfectly described some of the people here. It is a small movement within Independant fundamentalist Baptist’s, not all mind you, but a small group within the larger movement that I love bye, that James White Jeff Durbin we’re talking about, it’s an old video

But I heard a guy literally accuse James White of believing in works salvation. A Calvinist that believes in works salvation?

But that’s what’s been said about me too. Im not a Calvinist, but I know White doesn’t believe in works salvation

This post is getting long so I will continue in another post

Calling a post a name is not the same as calling a person insane, especially when the posts I was referring to were blatant attacks

GB9 has called me names for months. But I call one of HIS POSTS a name and people throw a fit

Read gb9s posts to me.

Btw, Are you a Calvinist, Grandpa?

I am going to post some of GB9’s posts so You can see how he behaves. @Grandpa

regeneration is not what your phony lordship junk teaches. saved by grace, proved by works.

trash.

yes, I personally believe in regeneration, but you push INSTANT regeneration, that is a big fat lie.

it looks different for everyone. some folks are instantly regenerated , some it takes times for the Fruits of the Sprit to began to manifest.

all are saved the instant they believe, and stay so as long as they believe.

regeneration is a separate conversation.

@Grandpa. I didn’t call anyone insane. I spoke about posts. So when DC said I called someone insane, what do you call it?

This post on the other hand...

"Lightskin, post: 4024307, member: 288073"]You seem very defensive, in fact you seem paranoid. I asked you if you were schizophrenic and you failed to answer my question. If you are there is no need to worry, there is help available.

One of GB9’s strawman arguments. I said none of this.

here is what it means to you, and judgemental people like you-

it means that one's relationship with Christ is manifested by a instant change in behavior, so that you can judge and lord yourself over them, hence is the end result hoped for by lordship salvation, and every other garbage religion.

the disagreement is this-

when time frames are put on regeneration, then it makes it legalism.

grace salvation is negated when men make up their own rules that the Bible does not say.
Another strawman. I NEVER put time frames on regeneration.

but, here is the thing.
what you said here is true. but, if you teach that regeneration is instant, and looks the same for everyone, then that is not true.

so, that is why lordship salvation is bad. it will lead to pride ( I did it!!), despair, ( I came to Christ, but still struggle with ….. I guess I am not really saved.), or just being a faker. all bad
Another strawman post

And btw, regeneration is instant.

Some of the strawmen GB9 threw at me. You will see that there are plenty of misrepresentations for me to speak of insane, which also means shocking or outrageous strawmen

Do you know the rule that when a word has more than one meaning, context determines the meaning?

actually, I was incorrect in part of my post you quoted. regeneration is instant.

but, where you are dead wrong, where lordship salvation is a total lie and farce.

the EVEIDENCE of that regeneration will look different in all people . some show instant results , some takes time .

so, since you will not agree with what I just said, the clear Biblical truth of salvation by grace FOR good works, then by default you push, lordship salvation pushes, attaches works TO salvation instead of properly saying works are a RESULT of salvation, salvation being by belief.

so, you DO teach works salvation, because you attach a " works are evidence of salvation " lie to salvation.

and, you will be a works salvationist until you stop pushing this lie.

If you read the post, I didn’t call GB9 insane. I said that about his argumentation. Why did DC twist it to me calling him insane. And he has not had the integrity to admit his error

I said regeneration was instant. I never said anything about results or behaviour which is how you put it in your strawman

Saying regeneration is instant and saying outward behavior change is instant is not necessarily the same thing.

Straw man

I don’t agree with salvation by grace unto good works?!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

That has been exactly what I have been saying dozens of times. Do you want post numbers?

I even created a thread called “not of works, but saved unto works”

Do you even read posts before you put labels and fake arguments on people?

And did you just say works are a RESULT of salvation?I thought you said salvation and works do not belong in the same sentence, when I said the same thing

I agree with DC his definition on renewal of mind, but we do know that that is not regeneration. Regeneration is the new birth. Renewal is a result of the new birth. One is instant when saved, and the other begins at salvation, but is a continuous process, like sanctification😀
@gb9. The post is in part what I believe about regeneration.

And renewal of mind is what causes progressive change of behaviour, at least In part. So it’s obvious I didn’t say what you claimed I said

@gb9. I can produce dozens of my posts that show that the things you charge me with saying and believing are simply not what I said. EVER!

You and DC both do this. Like when DC said I called you a name when I called you arguments a name

If we are going to profess to follow the truth, we need to speak the truth
