Psst, here’s a reality check: you’re not perfect.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Any teaching that causes you to say things contrary to scripture should give you pause.

These are those who practice such sins/unbelievers (Galatians 5:19-21) and is not talking about a believer who temporarily stumbles.
If a man, who has never committed a crime, never been arrested, if this law abiding citizen commits murder; does the court release this man and let him go free because he has not been a practitioner of murder?

And do think that God, who is all knowing, will let a believer off the hook simply because he is a not practitioner of sin, but only sins once in a while?

I’m not a worker of salvation, I’m a worker of righteousness.
Do you believe salvation is secure?

No you do not.

Hence you must add to the work of Christ Jesus.

Therefore we can logically deduce you are a worker for salvation.

See how that works.

We’re made perfect through Jesus Christ, not of our own accord. Once again, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to reality.

So God only saves those who never sin at all? Read 1 John 1:8-10; 2:1. Jesus is our advocate. There is a difference between practicing sin (no repentance, no goal or effort to stop, just bring on the sin) and sinning intermittently/temporarily stumbling.

2 Peter 1:5-7,10
[5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; [6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; [7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. [10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall

I’m going to cut my neighbor’s grass today. That should cover me for at least two weeks.

Do you even understand the Gospel and the atonement and the propitiation for our sins?

I am really sorry but you do not understand the Gospel, if you think this verse is referencing how to be saved.

It’s always about rape and murder with these worker bee salvationists, and never about breaking the speed limit. And yes, God’s grace is afforded to believers who sin. It’s simply astonishing that people don’t understand the very basics of grace.

I think I explained this to you before, but I will give it one more try...... that will only cover while you cut the grass, once you are finished its game over.

Sorry but the is the harsh reality. :(

Works only atone while one is engaged in such works.. why do you think Mother Teresa had to devote her whole life!!!!

We’re made perfect through Jesus Christ
Jesus himself said this:

Matthew 5:48
[48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

He did not say, You’ll be perfect through me (so don’t even try it).

The definition of grace:
The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.

Being perfect in Him is exactly what He means. Having faith in Him is what makes us perfect in God’s eyes. On another note, the Scripture which you quoted from Matthew, uses the word merciful in Luke. Be merciful as your Father in Heaven is merciful.

What if I walk from New Jersey to Toronto in order to cut your grass? Am I covered while I’m actually walking to cut your grass?

Who said anything about rape?

The Bible says that whosoever hates his brother is a murderer. Was John obsessed with “rape and murder”?
OK, this time you left out rape and focussed only on murder, but usually the two are inclusive with one another.
