They chose their actions according to their desires. God allows us to choose. That does not make Him responsible for what we choose to do... except maybe for people who blame Him. I see God's will operating in at least three ways: sovereign, moral, and permissive.
God allows it but that doesn't mean there's a reason. As Silverwings said, I don't think He's conjuring up a reason for ISIS to behead and kill as many people as they have and they confinue to do. Also, I can decide to do something dumb like steal or hit someone. Did God have a reason behind that? We see those dumb acts each and every single day. God allowing it and then trying to figure out a reason are two totally different things.

Not necessarily. Rape survivors (I will NOT call them "victims") often share their stories with others who have gone through the same thing. I shared my story on here and it has helped alot of other survivors.My ordeals have only made me stronger, and more able to relate to another who has just gone through it and is shell shocked. No offense, Silver, but you don't give the survivors of rape much credit at all. I've been raped, had cancer, tried suicide, been incapacitated in bed in absolute agony for over a year, and have lifelong depression. If you read ANYONE'S testimony on here, you will see how they overcame their circumstances in the face of death and adversity. I admire each person who is strong enough to tell their success story on here.

God uses flawed humans and I'm glad He does.
But does that mean He ordains their abuse? Does He look at a newborn baby and think "Hmmmm if they're abused they'll be perfect!"? I don't really think so. I think He uses us because through our flaws His power is seen more clearly. But I wouldn't say it happened just for that reason. Obviously you're free to disagree and you're free to feel however you wish to about your life experiences. But one of the worst things for me is when people say "But God sees the bigger picture! It'll all be OK!".
I never said he takes pleasure in torturing his children. But the fact is, He allowed Jesus to be tortured. He abandoned Jesus in his time of need. Did he get pleasure from watching Jesus suffer? Absolutely not. But he couldn't stop what was happening, because it was all part of his master plan for the souls of the people that Jesus died to save.

I get that sometimes too with certain pictures and if I use my phone versus my computer.
Hopefully it's just a glitch they will fix soon. Normally happens when Windows puts out a new operating system or something. I don't know. Just know basic tech things.

If He doesn't ordain it, then why did evil enter the world to begin with? Because he allowed it to, HE KNEW it would happen. He knew how it would all fit into His plan and work for His glory. Yes, he does see our flaws, and yes he uses them to show His power more clearly, but what you are failing to understand is that even when a child is abused or murdered, He makes something good come out of it. So many new laws have been enacted into law, on behalf of murdered children. And that's a good thing. The AMBER alert allows police to put out APB's on missing children right away, instead of waiting the mandatory two days. God sees all, and he knows all, and he's everywhere at once. He is with the abused kids, the murdered person, the killer parent. He is with all of us during good and bad times. So he DOES "see the bigger picture". And what might seem horrible to us, is glorifying to Him.

Yes, God allowed my ex to try strangling me, and He also allowed my ex to stop, and run out the door when I called the cops. God ultimately decides what happens and when and for what purpose..

That last sentence is somewhat of an issue. That last sentence is a reason why agnostics think God is just up there smiling and laughing as a child is raped and tortured. To say something like that is glorifying Him, is pretty disturbing. Glorifying brings happiness. How would a child being beaten to half the death day after day, crying out each night asking for help, bring happiness to God?And you're still confusing Him being with us versus Him conjuring up a reason for said thing to happen. I'm watching a preseason football game right now. Did God have a reason for that? I could very well turn it off and do something else. So there's a bit of flaw in that logic.

It like shock therapy.
Jesus told of a parable about how the workers did not listen to the messenger, but killed them. When the Master sent His son, they killed Him to. To show them when God comes to judge the world, those people who laugh and enjoy evil will be punished and will deserve hell.
However in His mercy and compassion He calls them back to Him and a way from sin, but too often pride and greed for things of this world keeps them blind and deaf.
This world is an example of life without God laws ruling every heart.
Cancer is when the bodies cells multiply beyond their natural boundaries. Sin is like cancer, it causes people to desire things beyond what God intends: power over other people, material wealth and food for ourselves without care about others who lack them, etc.
Sometimes we suffer not because of anything we have done and not for God's glory but because we live in a sinful world that will be destroyed when Jesus returns for Revelation promises a new Heaven and a new Earth with new resurrected bodies where we will spend eternity with Him.
