I have this guy friend that I really like. We're best friends and tell each other alomst everything. But lately, I've been thinking of him as more than just a best friend. This guy is on fire for God, loves helpin others out. He's the type of guy that one day I would like to marry and settle down with and raise a family. I just can't find the words or the way to tell him how I feel. He's really sweet and truely cares about his family and friends. How should I tell him that I love him..?????????????? PLease help...
 
Take him to a nice restaurant. Relax over a nice meal. Explain to him that you have interest in him beyond friendship. Be prepared it he only wants to remain friends. If he expresses that he is interested, congradulations! Pray together and let God guide your relationship. LoveAlways
 
How, tell him you have feelings for him, don't use the love word or it might scare him off. See how he reacts. Be prepared to be his friend regardless.
 
I'm the kinda person whose TOTALLY afraid of just outright saying something. BUT if you wait to long he might get snatched up by some other girl. if hes everything you say he is then TRUST me some other girls is making plans to make him hers. >_<

take his to dinner, write him a note, call him on the phone, anything you need to do. If hes the Godly man you say he is he woun't go embarrassing you and tell everyone he rejected you. he'll just tell you hes not interested and you'll move on. but to sit around and wait for him to come to you. . . .well, you might loose the chance to be with someone REALLY awesome.

The thing i regret most in life is not taking a chance because i was scared of rejection when the most that could have happened was that someone would tell me "no". don't get cozy in your comfort zone or you'll be living a life you'll regret.
 
Guys hate it when you're the one to make the first move. If you're interested in him, be more obvious about it, but let him make the first move. If you tell him and he doesn't reciprocate, it will ruin the relationship. He'll question your motives for anything you do after that.

Not always. Bad idea to speak for every guy, because your statement simply is not true. There are plenty of guys who don't mind if a woman steps up.


To the OP. Firstly, i'd put your emotions in check. People often confuse attraction and infatuation for being in love. So i would slow down and stop letting your emotions run your thinking.
Next you have to consider is speaking up worth the risk of losing your friendship, or changing it for the worse?
I suggest taking some time to really search your true feelings, and not just these 'lovey dovey' emotions that blind us and cause us to think and do things we normally wouldn't. Don't just accept that what you're feeling is being 'in love'. There is a chemical agent in the brain that provides us with this 'lovey dovey' feeling, and this chemical wears off eventually. Usually you see this chemical form just before the beginning of a relationship (sort of where you're at now) and 6 months down the road it wears off. This chemical makes you think you're in love, and makes you blind to many of the other persons faults, or annoyances. Once it wears off if there is not something more substantial then you lose interest in the person and start focusing more on what you view as negative aspects. This is why so many relationships start out strong and are done after 6 months.
