More of what? I'm not disagreeing, just don't understand the statement.
In short , Living out our new position as sons and daughters now eternally secure.
More of what? I'm not disagreeing, just don't understand the statement.
those who live by the law will be judged by the law.Because it does not fit your understanding, but it does not be that way with others, you have said this about me before.
The Laws Of GOD.those who live by the law will be judged by the law.
Thank you Walter for the nice and truthful posts, you are indeed a follower of Christ. The Laws Of GOD.
Thanks for sharingAs has been pointed out ... faith by hearing and hearing by the Word of God – Rom 10:17.
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know [Greek ginṓskō] that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
The words "shall know" are translated from the Greek word ginṓskō which means to know, especially through personal experience (first-hand acquaintance), so this is more than just a mental assent to what has been heard. It is knowing that you know.
Romans 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it [the gospel of Christ] is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein [in the gospel of Christ] is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
The gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe ... the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith.
From faith to faith – not from works to faith or from faith to works ... from faith to faith. The life of the born again one begins in faith and the born again one is to continue to live by faith alone.
The born again one can absolutely know that he or she is in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus Christ is in him or her (John 14:20) ... and the born again one can absolutely know that the Lord Jesus Christ is eternal life (1 John 5:20) ... because the born again one lives by faith.
And I believe faith is a more real and dynamic reality than what we comprehend through our senses ...
.
This is why I believe it is so important to understand the spiritual nature of salvation. There is a supernatural transaction between God and an individual that gives the individual spiritual life. In the old days it was called conversation. If one believes the gospel are they saved?
they shall be saved yes if they don’t stop believing and following Christ
maybe it would help if I just said this is also part of the gospel that we need to believe ? Make more sense
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.”
2 Corinthians 5:10-11 KJV
and the reason we need to believe that is this
“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Luke 13:3 KJV
and so we have grace that we might find repentance and be saved from perishing
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9 KJV
she jas t removed our place and role he has enabled us to do our part and be saved through bekieving the gospel “ I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength “ not “ there’s nothing for me to do “
The gospel is what Jesus preached and also what Jesus did in dying for our sins he was sent to earth to preach the gospel and after he rose he sent it to all people that’s what I mean by the gospel what we find in Matthew mark Luke and John including that Jesus is the judge and his words spoken in the gospel are the judgement
Many can not bring themselves to accept the word of God...But you can't bring yourself to say only faith saves. You're preaching a false gospel.
Many can not bring themselves to accept the word of God...
"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." James 2:17
"But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" James 2:20
Paul was addressing the error that the OT mandate of circumcision was required in addition to the NT rebirth instructions first given on the Day of Pentecost. (Acts 2)Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
I would that you had continued through verse 13...For it is God at work in you, willing and doing of His good pleasure.Great post Cameron, as I can understand, we as Christians ought to do pleasing in his sight,
Philippians 2:12 King James Version 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Faith without works is dead according to the word:So what's your point, we're saved by faith and works? Just want to make sure I'm clear on the version of God's word you're peddling.
Faith without works is dead according to the word:
"Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." James 2:18
"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." James 2:26

Faith without works is dead according to the word:
"Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works." James 2:18
"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." James 2:26
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24
faith is strengthened by God within us as we continuously rely on Him. And it seems we turn to God when the going gets tough ... but have you ever turned to God in times of joy? ... include God in the good times???for most part the feeling of assurance would be what builds your faith, I suppose as faith builds so does assurance and confidence in knowing the day will come when you see the kingdom.
yes, He is faithful Who promised ...Fundaamental said:I still just can't boast in those infirmities knowing that I'm trusting in assurance. And character change.
It's a hard thing for me to do.
But I can say with confidence that The lord is true to his word, if that makes sense.

Paul was addressing far more than circumcision.Paul was addressing the error that the OT mandate of circumcision was required in addition to the NT rebirth instructions first given on the Day of Pentecost. (Acts 2)
There’s always more that’s what the op is pointing toPaul was addressing far more than circumcision.
I do not believe water baptism is required. There is one baptism that matters (Eph 4:5) and that's baptism in the Holy Spirit, the Christian new birth. There’s always more that’s what the op is pointing to
The ot is a pattern of the new like circumcision
“And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;”
Colossians 2:10-13 KJV
This is spoken to those who had chosen to be baptized to teach them what it meant when they got baptized , it’s tantamount to circumcision in the ot same purpose but reality rather than a blueprint
