Now I'm Stuck Between whether Christianity or Buddhism is better

You Christians have a very good way, but remember ignorance isn't moral either. I suppose I shouldn't be so ignorant I don't know the value of ignorance though. I guess I've learned you can't have free will without a dark side, what the Buddhists call the ego, the false sense of self, maybe that all demons usually are, our own dark side, our own demons. Any interesting discussion is welcome I suppose, try to convert me if you want.
 
I notice with virtue and sin, it's about what empowers society that is a virtue, and that is a smart thing to do.

No comparison is possible, one is an outward form of godliness denying the power and Christianity is a vital one on one relationship with the Father through the Son and Holy Spirit of the living God.
You have a long way to go, or can get right in a hurry, your choice.

Buddhism is based on total ignorance. So everything rises, maintains, then falls. And the secret of life is to follow the middle course. Big deal. If you're looking for simplicity and ignorance I guess Buddhism is the way to go. If you're looking for something with real answers to life, go with Christianity.

Religion is simply man's attempt at giving some meaning to life. Now matter the religion, it does not fill the void that everyone has in their heart, until they receive Christ.

Everyone is born dead to God, dead in trespass and sin. There is nothing that anyone can do to change this state. Jesus came to give us new life, life that we cannot get for ourselves. That is why Christianity is unique. It's not a religion. It is a relationship with God through Christ.

The emptiness in my soul drove me to drink even as a teenager. Jesus saved me when I despaired of living. It was just before my 21st birthday. I realised two things instantly. First, a load of guilt lifted off me that I did not know I suffered. The second think was that I found what I was searching for, even though I did not know that I was searching. I can't explain it better than that.

That was over 50 years ago. The older I get, the more I appreciate what Jesus has done for me. Religion says, "You must do (fill in the blanks) to be happy. Jesus says, "Let me fill you with joy and peace, love, and power to face adversity."

Demons are real, disembodied spirit beings that hate humanity. They will do their best to dissuade you from accepting Christ as Saviour and Lord.

Hmm... Close, but not quite.

Sin is designated as sin because it wrecks stuff. All the things that good little Christians are supposed to avoid are things that cause damage to the sinner and those around him. That is WHY we are supposed to avoid them.

All those virtues, all the things good little Christians are supposed to do, those do the opposite. They build up what sin tears down. That is WHY we are supposed to do them.

So it all boils down to how selfish you are. Will you do what pleases you or what helps you and those around you? Are you selfish or selfless?

The catch is, if you are selfish you will lose it all when you die. At the end of your life you can look back on a life that was wasted building up experiences and treasures that will be worthless when you die. If you are selfless - if you spend your life avoiding causing damage and doing things to help those around you - you can look back on a life that was spent well, doing things that have real value after you are gone.

Of course it all falls apart if you don't love other people. If all you love is yourself, there is no motivation to be selfless. The only driving force is selfish. Living as a Christian, without loving others, is a hollow shell that will crack at the first real strain.

You gotta love other people. Otherwise everything that a Christian is and does is pretty stupid.

Buddha has no redemption solution. He was a sinful man as all men are. All he offered was a denial of the flesh. Although this is a lot of effort and good work, it cannot save one from the wrath of God's justice.
Denial cannot make one right with God. God is Holy. Denial does not make one holy. It cannot pay for sins.

Jesus is the Only Holy Redeemer.
He alone paid for sins by His suffering crucifixion death atonement.
Jesus satisfied the Father's Justice.
He did what you, I and Buddha cannot ever do.
We can sacrifice ourselves but it would be in vain because we are unholy and unacceptable to God.

Jesus was witnessed by His enemies as dead, even with a big spear through His heart and lungs. Out poured water and blood. He was put in a guarded tomb.
Three days later Jesus bodily arose back to life and was seen by over 500 witnesses who heard Him teach. He then ascended up to Heaven to sit next to the Father.

Buddha's bones are still in the grave. He never came back to life. He is dead and gone forever, however you have an opportunity to receive Jesus ' gift of everlasting life.

I have no wish to convert you, that's not my job.

Being a "Christian", I too believe that redemption comes only through Yeshua. Unlike many of my brothers and sisters, I do not pretend to know all of the ways Jesus uses to accomplish his will and I refuse to put Him in a box. I think he may be working on you right now but that is speculation, not a known fact.

But I do have a (possibly dumb) question.

You appear to believe all demons are of our own creation, coming from within. Christians agree enlightenment (redemption) comes from outside ourselves, but we also believe there is a real, spiritual, and evil force at work in the world independent of human existence. Only something outside ourselves can redeem us.

If evil only comes from within, why do we need a savior? Is a savior only a role model?

it is quite easy to figure this out: becomes a born again Christian RIGHT NOW! if you do become 1, the Holy Spirit of God will enter your life immediately. He will show you the true revelation of God, Jesus & the H.S. the H.S. is the only person, place or thing that reveals God, Jesus, the H.S. & the Bible are true. the H.S. is called "the comforter & the teacher". buddhism is a man made belief based on ideas by men to achieve spiritual liberty, enlightenment, the end of suffering, etc. their god is dead as all gods of every religion except Christianity is dead. buddhists think you can reincarnate into another life. really? where's the proof? don't look, you will never find it! buddhism says you can end suffering by eliminating desire. that is super stupid! imagine trying to never again desire anything? won't ever happen. & there's a whole bunch more nonsense i'm not going to get into.

Simplicity is not ignorance, simplicity simply breaks down ideas until you understand them better.
