Wear reflectors!
Uten refleks vil du først bli oppdaget på 25-30 meters hold. Med refleks er du synlig på 140 meters avstand, selv om bilen bare har nærlysene på. Med fjernlys økes synligheten til 400 meter.

Without reflectors you will not be seen (by a car in the dark) until at 25-30 meters. With reflectors you are visible at 140 meters even with dipped beams. With main / high beams you increase visibility to 400 meters.

In the UK, people haven't even heard of it it seems. I hope you guys have, but if you haven't, this is what I am talking about

We don't have fall or winter in Indonesia so there is nothing to worry about that :)

Btw, you've got a beautiful language up there :) quite interesting for me. :p

No winter??? I wonder if I can talk my wife into moving to Indonesia;)...she likes winter, I hate it.

Yeah, Indonesia is a tropical country :) the sun always shines sooooo brightly here. And usually it is very hot :(

LOL To me, this is old-school -- things we did back in the 60's.

I've solved the problem now. The furthest I go after dark is taking my recyclable container out to the curb, which is barely a meter from my steps. And, yes, I've almost run into people doing that but that's because THEY weren't wearing reflectors. lol (Either that or the big container I was carrying hindered my sight of the sidewalk.)
 
Nah, folks aint using reflectors here, too troublesome to I guess, best be easy goin graveyard bound...lol...not...I hate ipad typing...lol
