I need often reminders:
1. It's more important to teach kids HOW to listen to God's voice and pray, then tell them what they HAVE to learn and believe.
2. "Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day. You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life" by Dallas Willard.
3. Sometimes listening and praying is enough. We don't have to solve everyone else's problems
4. Sometimes being loving, means saying No and setting boundaries.
5. You can never fall too low that God can't hear your prayers and lift you from the pit.
6. God hears your prayers, but sometimes we have to be patient and quiet to hear His answers.
7. Always seeking control of your life is a sign of lack of faith and trust. God wants us to have faith and rest in the promise that His loving plan will be for our best interest.
I do often forget. Perhaps, I can read this or my friends can remind me of God's truth during those times when my light seems dimmer...
