That is very possibly one way it could go. If Christianity shows hostility rather than love, that is a real possibility. However, I don't see that as happening any time in the near future, because a majority of the leaders in this country are still Christian themselves.
You say that as if you exclude yourself from the group. Aren't you Christian as well?
It's true that a lot of Christians will not move forward, but there are some who will.
Did you mean by this statement "Science has proven there is no God"? Or did you mean that "Science is no God"? If you mean the first, I'd have to disagree. Though I know scientists who would like to think they've proven that there are no gods, it's just not true. If you mean the second, then I agree -- science is not a god.
Again, I'm a little confused as to whom you are referring to with this "you." Are you referring to Christians or to Scientists?
If you're referring to Christians, then I'd have to modify it and say SOME Christians are holding society back with their primitive thinking, but there are plenty of Christians who have no problem incorporating modern scientific understandings into their beliefs. If you mean scientists, I'd have to ask what you mean, and how science is holding society back.
