Obviously he hasn't. I am seeing 2 people on this thread that came from the catholic thread...................they like to try to "unsave" people.
I don't think we can really remember all the sins we actually commit throughout the day. Speaking for myself, I believe that confession of concious sin and real repentance of sin covers the unconcious sin. I have no doctrine or scripture for this. I just believe that's how it works.

1 John 1:9 covers it. He is faithful and just to forgive us all of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness( Unknown sins and evil(human good)
Yep, largely correct. We could start splitting hairs on the confession and repentance parts, but if the way you understand both, works for you, then I am lately being led to simply accept that since it is not a deal breaker with God..

Willful or deliberate sin as the bible states is when a person continues in habitual sin with no attempt or will to want to stop committing those sins.
They may say it with their mouth but their actions show other wise, as the bible does not define willful sin the way we do.
To many think every time you sin is was done willingly which is true in man's mind but not how the bible is referring to a willful sinner.
Lord Jesus even said produce fruits worthy of repentance, which means your actions have to show a clear and truthful attempt you want to turn away from those sinful ways.
Plus it is not my gospel it is the Lord's gospel I am speaking on, as He showed multiple times in His word that believers in Him will also be doers of His teachings and commands.
Lord Jesus did not tell the goats in Matthew 25 that they did not get eternal life because they had no faith in Him, He told them it was because they denied to do for others. The 5 foolish virgins, and the unprofitable servant in the other two parables in this same chapter did not receive eternal life either, they were shut out for not preparing and doing the will of God in their lives.
Also those in Matthew 7:21 that called Him Lord He did not say to them it was because they had no faith why they didn't get eternal life. He said it was because they continue to practice iniquity/lawlessness (meaning sinful lifestyles).
A person who continues to willfully/deliberately keep sinning shows no signs of the working of the Holy Spirit in them !!!

The Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and king David in Psalm 19:12-13
Both show that sins do not have to be pinpointed or specifically named to be forgiven of them, a general prayer for forgiveness is enough (confession).

The flesh is dead because we walk by the Spirit, and the fruits and guidance of the Holy Spirit will not lead one to sin but to abstain from sin.
How many times does the bible have to say being born again by the Holy Spirit we will not sin, give into sin, not let sin reign in our mortal bodies, will put to death the members of our body that sin, and will abstain from sin before one understands the actions of Spirit will show out in our physical actions in the flesh ???

Ok, let's start there. How do we know by looking at someone else if their sin is willful or not? How do you know they don't want to stop committing those sins? Are you saying then that any sin gets a pass as long as the person really wants to be free from it?
Descriptive of unbelievers - 1 John 3:8 - the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
The gospel is the good news of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.. (Romans 1:16).
Which was a manifestation of their unbelief.
The wording of the five foolish virgins in our text is all too familiar to the reader of Matthew’s Gospel:
Matthew 25:11 - "Later, the other virgins came too, saying, ‘Lord, lord! Let us in!’ 12 But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I do not know you!"
Matthew 7:21 - "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven" but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven - *See John 6:40. 22 On that day, many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many powerful works?’ 23 Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you. Go away from me, you who work iniquity!’ (Matthew 7:21-23)
Taking Matthew’s words literally, I read that the difference between the foolish virgins and the wise virgins: The wise virgins had oil for their lamps, while the foolish virgins did not. The wise virgins had the opportunity to obtain oil, and did so. The foolish virgins had plenty of opportunity to procure oil, but did not.
It is possible to be in close contact with Christ, and with Christians, and yet not be saved. I am reminded of a similar passage in the Gospel of Luke:
Luke 13:23 Someone asked him, "Lord, will only a few be saved?" So he said to them, 24 "Exert every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the head of the house gets up and shuts the door, then you will stand outside and start to knock on the door and beg him, ‘Lord, let us in!’ But he will answer you, ‘I don’t know where you come from.’ 26 Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ 27 But he will reply, ‘I don’t know where you come from! Go away from me, all you evildoers!’ 28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves thrown out. 29 Then people will come from east and west, and from north and south, and take their places at the banquet table in the kingdom of God. 30 But indeed, some are last who will be first, and some are first who will be last."
Jesus is warning us in this parable that there will be a number of people who look like Christians, who associate with Christians, and who even think they are Christians, who will be shocked to learn that they are not saved at the return of our Lord. What a sobering thought!
They practiced iniquity/lawlessness because they did not have saving faith in Christ. They were self righteous and trusted in THEIR WORKS! They said, Lord, Lord, didn't WE. Correct answer - Lord, Lord, didn't YOU.
Such a person demonstrates they are not born of God - 1 John 3:9-10.

That is why you ask them if they want to stop doing what they are doing, and also show them in God's word and by love how they are walking is improper. Then we are to try and exhort them as in help them along in turning from those ways.
If they refuse to listen and refuse the help because they do not want to give up those ways then we know it is willful/deliberate sin they are engaged in and would rather continue to do it then serve the Lord.
Nobody at least not me is saying a person is to be cast away immediately if we see them walking improperly in a sinful way, for there are steps we are to take first before that. Talking to the person first and showing them God's love and way comes first !!!

The goats in Matthew 25 as well as those in Matthew 7:21 called Jesus their Lord, and the scriptures say no person can call Him that but by the Holy Spirit.
(1 Corinthians 12:3)
The one's in Matthew 7:21 were not boasting about their works, as in trusted in them for salvation.
The mentioning of their works was a petitioning response to being told they were not going to receive eternal life, as they were asking why they were being sent away because didn't we do as You commanded.
Jesus told them it was because they continued to serve sinful lifestyles as well, serving two masters that Jesus says we can not do. His saying, "I never knew you" was His way of showing exactly what He said before if you deny Him He will deny you.
Matthew 25 shows that denying Him can also be done in actions not just saying you don't believe in Him, as even Titus 1:16 shows that just professing alone does nothing if ones works that follow do not show their faith is true.
Trusting in oneself is wrong, but trusting in doing as the Lord taught and commanded is not !!!

The Oil is symbolic of the Spirit of God. These 5 Virgins knew about Jesus Christ but did not have the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These are the same ones in Matthew 7:21-23.

There is a difference in the written ordinances of the Mosaic laws (that do not apply) and that of the perfect law of liberty (Jesus teachings and commands).
Nowhere does it say we as believers in the new covenant have no standards we will uphold.
The Pharisees were not called hypocrites because they gave the law, they were called hypocrites because they neglected to follow the finer points of the law of showing love, mercy, forgiveness, and helping others out.
They put heavy burdens on others without lifting a finger to help them, plus they did things for personal gain and self recognition.
Lord Jesus and Apostle Paul both showed by us walking in love upholds and thus fulfills the law !!!
C'mon, now... keep up. He only loves us IF (and that is a BIG "if") we keep every one of the rules. If we do the least little thing wrong, we have to grovel and beg to get back in His good graces. And even then, He better not be having a bad day, or we are SOL.
Just ask any of these Legalists.

Walking in love upholds and thus fulfills the law, meaning that if you walk in love for others you would not transgress any of the laws. That is why the standard we have now is easier then that of the OT, because they focused on all the written ordinances, but Jesus tells us to only focus on love.
Love the Lord your God with all our heart, soul, and mind.............Matthew 22:37
Love your neighbor as yourself...........Matthew 22:39
Love your enemies................Matthew 5:44
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.............Matthew 22:40
Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.............Romans 13:10
