Must I say anymore than the title? I have read other versions a bit, and studied with other people and churches, but overall... God has shown me and taught me so much, and the deepest parts were always from KJV. It's words are said so beautifully, the teachings it shows are so precious... if I need to give you examples I can. But I just see churches using others and they shows they have so many needs still using NIV, NLV, NRSV, etc. and God has shown me through his word in KJV already what they want but cant find as they search through another version without the exact right words. Even if those were usable bible version, truly, nothing can teach you and show you such things of God as KJV can

You are getting that poetic feeling that writing of the 1600's gives you mixed up with knowledge of God's word. Shakespeare wrote at the same time, if you can savvy the English of that year, he gives the same feeling. It helps to understand the translation to learn about the King who ordered it. That king wrote a book on witches, quite an interesting book. Also the way most people thought in 1600.

This bible did a wonderful work in the world at that time, and the large group of men who wrote it did lots of asking for God's guidance as they wrote. The catholic church was against the people having a bible to read, the printing press was just getting going, so the impact of this bible on the world was profound.

It is wonderful that you love it so, but don't turn up your nose at other translations. God used the lives of people who lived so long ago that their thinking and ours are quite separated by changes in thought. Translators try to read how God gave it to us originally and translate it into ways we can understand. It is an almost impossible job. Your job is to understand. If you get too caught up in the poetry and history of this one translation it can impede your understanding.
