Charles Wesley knew how to put a song together. Makes modern song writers seem banal in comparison. One of many that I love is this:

Many songs were composed.. (Charles Wesley)
- During the 'Methodist Revival/Movement'.. in the 18th century.
Often, those songs (& Revival/Movement) were criticised & despised...by the church establishment.
---
Some of those songs are/became.. 'Hymns'.
- They are in the Hymn book/Hymnal.
