I hope someone can enlighten me: I feel guilty that sometimes I may be drawn to Christ but I seem to get discouraged or lose that thirst for him. Then a month later Im ready to re engage in religious path. I know I have to make huge changes in order to honor God but sometimes i feel that my life might be simple or boring. Why can that be? I want/need to over come this! God doesn't deserve my indecision. Has anyone gone through this? Still battling? Success stories?
 
Relationships─life, really─are dynamic, and that goes for the one we have with Him as well. Were it a static thing, we wouldn't grow in our faith. The times when you feel distant or discouraged could even be attributed to spiritual attack.

God doesn't deserve to be subjected to what we think and feel He deserves and doesn't deserve. :p I respect your sense of humility before Him here, though, and it doesn't come off as indecision─more like you're trying, but need some time to become consistent.
 
If I may be so bold then I would tell you that EVERY Christian experiences what you do at some points in their life. If they tell you they never have doubt or fear then... well, they're probably lying. So yeah, I know what you're talking about!

Funny you mention this. I'm about to read Benefit of the Doubt by Gregory Boyd. The back reads, "In Benefit of the Doubt, he [Boyd] invites you to embrace a faith that doesn't strive for certainty but rather for commitment to Christ in the midst of uncertainty." - This might be a good read for you!

Still battling here and probably will always will be hehe. You got some good responses above and I have nothing else to add expect what your going through is common to all of us around the world

Resist him, standing firm in the faith. Do so in the knowledge that your fellow believers are enduring the same suffering throughout the world.

I've had the same experience in my life but i chose God over everything and its the best decision i made througout my life.
